Stam Sorc Build?

oburn
oburn
I'm on PS4 so no Thieves guild out yet for us, but since Thieves guild has there been much changes to Stam Sorc build? I have a Magicka DK that I pvp with, and yeah I know Magicka DK isn't the greatest but I enjoy the mechanics of it and I make due with what I got.

I have a Vet 1 High Elf Sorc, and I've been wanting to go a bit different and maybe play stam on the Sorc, but I'm wondering if being High Elf will hinder the build at all being that High Elf is all magicka passives? Or am I better off staying Magicka? I've only returned to the game 2 weeks ago after being gone for about 5 months, and I'm not hardcore, Most of the gear I can craft I only have 6-7 traits on most pieces.

Any advice would be much appreciated thanks.

Oh and is Werewolf needed in the sorc stam build?

If youre not hardcore you can do two things.
    a) make a stam sorc with whatever skills you want +steeltornado and type lfg in zone (or however that works on console)
    b) stay (and stack) magicka and stick to the easiest specc to play in solo/small scale PvP ( no disrespect to good sorcs, but hardened and mines just turn this into a very beginner freindly class)

On the other hand you can also invest some time into your charackter, and your skills as a player, to make a solo/small scale stam sorc work, which will probably need redgourd for the best results, but can also work acceptably fine with any other race. (I played magicka sorc on khajiit until 1.7 where i switched to stam).

When I said hardcore, I should have worded that better, more like, I just don't have the time to grind to get all best in slot items. I get what I can get and make do with it. But as far as char skills and trying to get the best out of my character I take time in that. I don't just throw on any skill on any bar and just go haha, I do look at builds and stuff like that. II just find most builds online like youtube are centered around all the best items so it's hard to know if you can still follow that guide when your in 6 trait gear kinda thing if that makes sense.

I've recently posted something about stam sorcs here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/2770488/#Comment_2770488

Concerning gear you can go with the "classical" Hunding's Rage and Night Mother's Gaze for which you don't need many researched traits for.

Werewolf is not needed for stam regen in my opinion. Just use it if you have fun playing werewolf.

I am playing Redguard as base for my stamina sorc, not sure how an Altmer works for a stamina build.

I run a wood elf stam sorc sniper and I love it. I use hunding's rage and night mother's all gold with a 3 piece agility jewelry set. I have 4k weapon damage and 36800 stam and able to hit people for 13k snipes out of stealth. I have also been able to one shot vamps and werewolves using camo hunter. Basically, only use magicka for crit surge and streak. I use bow for both bars.

    bar one:
snipe, camo hunter, streak, crit surge, bound armaments - ult flawless dawnbreaker

    bar two:
bombard, thundering presence, vigor, crit surge, bound armaments - ult power overload

overload bar just replace bombard with retreating maneuver or streak

It is a sniper build so yes if I get in a melee fight most of the time I get killed. But, with streak, vigor, and dodging I can usually avoid melee fights. If I am forced into a melee fight that is the best time to switch to overload.

I like this build because it isn't the standard wrecking blow / steal tornado build you see in most stamina builds. It is also different than most NB sniper builds. It has been a lot of fun.

Ok cool I may try that out although I'm not a huge fan of bow play in this game for some reasn haha. Where do you get the agility jewelry set?

For lvl up, as to me, the best sorc builds are mana-build with 2 pets and stamina one.
I use this stamina build on vr16, and it show good damage and versatility both in pvp, top-pve and IC/Orsi farm.
    So,
Gear: 5 Hunding Rage, 2/3 Night Mother, 1 Molag Kena, Agility set. U can easily obtain these sets on ur vr1, except Molag Kena, but its 1 piece useless in this build cause u can replace it with 3d piece of NM set. Jewelry at lvl-0ing can be also random. Enchants - stamina for gear, weapon damage for weapon, if u have vr1 Agility jewelry enchant it for wep damage too, if no, random enchants are enough.

Attributes: all to stamina, boon: warrior

1 bar 2hand: critical rush, executioner, storm, crit surge, bound armaments. Ulti - Overload
2 bar Bow: Snipe (Aimed), Bombard, Arrow Barrage, Streak, Bound Armaments. Ulti - Flawless Downbreaker.

How to fight: Sneak, use Surge, than Snipe+light atacck with cancel animation. when target is low HP change bar to 2h, rush to enemy and execute him. At dungeons u can change AoE skills at ur panel to Poison Arrow/Evil Hunter. I dont like popular builds with Steel Tornado and Duals cause they need close range, bow isnt.

Also I'm vampire, his stealth is great thing on pvp, IC and even questing, but he also have some weak points. What about WW I dont appreciate him, our Ulti - Overload has great scalling from 2h sword, and seems to me much more profitable and versatile in any situation.
