Orly? Because all I'm seeing is Vicious Death, Vicious Death, Vicious Death, Vicious Death, Vicious Death, and.... Vicious Death. I see it being used with all classes. I suspect we will be sounding the Butthurt Alert sometime today, because classism.

Love it or leave it, simple as that.

Sure, constructive criticism is a necessary part of progress. But if it's futile, as many suggest, then the only option remains the one above.

What if this game made you happy until ZoS changed it? Mind you ESO is the only game that made you happy. :p

I think I'm going to take a break from PVP, and focus on some PVE. I'm tired of hearing the complaints nonstop of Nightblades, and I'm tired of seeing them everywhere. It literally feels as though the ratio of Nightblade to every other class in PVP is 3-to-1, and because of this? It feels stagnant to play. It's becoming boring facing off against the same tactics, and fighting the same class over and over again.

Also tired of having things nerfed and gimped in PvE strictly because of PvP abuse (permablocking, for example). Everyone is using VD regardless of class. I've seen it used just as effectively on DKs as NBs, but I don't start threads that are full of classism and hate on other players because of decisions ZOS made.

Not really. When a NB cloaks, they could be getting a 100% crit rate, when a NB cloaks they gain a damage buff on their attacks while exiting cloak, add in that NB crits deal more damage and they can stack pure spell damage (something your dk example lacks since leap works on physical damage) and NB's have a clear and significant advantage over all other classes running this combo.

The bombs you see NBs do (proxy+tether+sap... added in VD) any class can do really... well maybe not Templars. Dragonknights- Proxy+Leap+Draw Essence/Talons. Sorcs- Proxy+Meteor+Streak+Impulse. Templars... hm... not sure.... probably Proxy+Meteor+Shards (stun)+Jabs.

All you have to do is be a Glass Cannon and do 5pc Julianos or Alchemist or Vicious Death and you're set. Need to get high spell damage (3k+) and high max magicka (35k+) so obviously all gear is v16 and purple at least.

Except for the being invisible part and the instant teleport to your location right?

I'm aware of how NBs work.
    1. There are like 30 counters to cloak, and it's easier to thwart a NB now than it ever has been. Hence why some of the best NBs are those that don't use cloak. It's just as much of a liability as it is a boon, plus it's a magicka sink. You don't need to hide if you know how to play.
    2. Crit is useless against shields, everyone knows that. If you get it to work, it's nice. Pretty big if, there. Everyone and their dog is running detect pots or magelight. If you aren't, you should be.
    3. Sorcs can stack pure spell damage too. DK abilities all buff each other, just as some NB skills do, and they have Major Sorcery & Brutality from a single class skill, which happens to also return stamina and grant Minor Brutality to everyone in range. Igneous Weapons is the longest Sorcery/Brutality buff in the game, aside from potions. Templars also get crit damage from class passives, and arguably have the easiest time against NB cloak spamming gankers, and have a couple of the same debuffs that NBs have through their skills. If you corner a NB, it very well could be game over. If you corner a Templar or a DK, they're just getting started.

And none of this changes the fact that PvP imbalance is what causes half of the issues we have in PvE. Every time someone whines about an exploit in PvP, we have to rebuild and redesign around the impending changes in PvE too. People constantly whine about how PvErs get everything in this game, like loot, content, etc., but for a long time the BiS gear all came from PvP. It's far easier to get ahold of that gear than it is to run vWGT 300 times for that last piece of gear. Oh right, and most BiS pvp gear now is crafted anyway, or sold for a relatively low amount of AP the second week after the vendor hits live. Like Leki's for example, arguably one of the least useful pvp sets to ever be introduced into the game. But what happens when you just use two weapons? Suddenly we have a stamina equivalent of Torug's Pact, and it's one of the easiest sets to get ahold of right now.

I spend a lot of time in both PvE and PvP, and I've been playing since launch. I'm aware of how this stuff works. I've been pvping on my magblade without using cloak for 4 updates now, and I'm doing just fine. I've played it a considerable amount on my sorc and dk, and a little on my templar. I can honestly say that DKs are in the best place they've ever been, both pve and pvp (except maybe right at launch, when vampire DK tanks could single-handedly take over the world). Sorcs have been in a very strong spot for months already. Templars, with the exception of a couple of broken skills (like toppling charge, and believe me we are on the same side with this one) and a lack of stamina regen from class skills/passives, are also in a very strong spot right now. So let's end the classism, and just play the game, mmkay?

...? What's the difference? Okay sure. The difference is, shield stacking does NOT deal damage to an enemy, while also applying crowd control. The difference is, every single time that Sorcerer uses Bolt Escape (or its morphs)? The cost goes up, if used back to back. Meaning they can't keep doing it nonstop. Last I checked Nightblades don't have this "penalty" with their abilities (specifically cloak and its morphs). The difference is, Jabs is damn channel.

C'mon now. You know just like I know that Nightblades are a very large problem, and have lied their way into this mess which is plaguing PVP right now. And ZOS as per usual were the simpletons who believed their nonsense and followed it up. And thus now? This broken combo. :|

While I agree with you the new meta of Prox Det+Vicious Death is the worst thing ever for PvP I have to call you out on the statement you made about Bolt Escape. It doesn't matter that the cost goes up for using the ability back to back because most Sorcs have such high Max Magic and Recovery stats the increased cost is meaningless. A friend and I chased a Sorc from Blue Road all the way to Chalman and he used Bolt Escape again and again the whole way to stay ahead of me on my mount and my stamina NB friend using all his speed buffs. The couple of times one of us caught up close enough to actually attack he'd have stacked shields on already so nothing touched him (I'm a Temp so I couldn't get a stun on him between my still mostly broken Toppling Charge and too slow to target Blazing Spear ) and he'd just go right back to bolting out of range.

Only 2 things will make me happy:

    - removal of the classes, so that no one can *** about Nightblades (Spellmaking?)
    - removal of AoE caps

So yeah, I'm hard to please :p

An open classless systems similar to previous EO games would be interesting. A spellmaking system would be great, but will never happen I fear. :(

Instead of anything balanced and substantive, the nerfs will continue...

    This ^^

My Mag NB dies more to Templars and Stam builds using Executioner then he kills .

I mean If he never died then I can see people complaining, but he dies more times then he has kills so its not OPed at all, lol , its just some players who think they should never die are complaining that they die more then they used too. Your not meant to be invincible , sorry to break the news to you.

I tried the deadly combo today several times, it just doesn't work as well as people claim. Though I was going in against organized groups to try and take some out and it never worked - half the raid has shields up, being healspammed, and they are damn wise, as soon as I popped out, before the combo finished someone instantly popped barrier so it failed every single time + AoE caps.
I mean yeah, DPS counter showed nearly 120k DPS, but it's not enough with AoE caps, shields and heals.

It only seems to work right if you jump in clueless and somewhat stationary groups of casuals who are clueless and not grouped / organized. Not to mention, every time I have to regen 150 ulti, which is difficult to do with dual wield on a magicka char, which takes a while - and during that time - any normal fighting is just prohibitive with that particular set of weapons and armours.
It probably doesn't help that I played on Ebony Blade PC EU, which is mainly a place for only organized raiding - it doesn't have the amount of casuals Trueflame and Azura has to pull off the cheese which is Proxi+Tether+Sap+VD, people there are experienced raiders with high ranks and the cheese don't work on them.

Conclusion? Well, I swapped back to my previous set of armours and staves and continuing where I was before - tried and tested and doesn't fail, and doesn't require a specific situation and specific type of players to work on.
    Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

ive been offline for a few weeks due to a broken link at home but got back into it last night.

id been mag blading on an alt for about 6 months before it was cool and the fotm. It was hard work then but fun to play and rewarding. now it isnt. I feel cheapened even loading her up.

being the first time id been into cyro since TG and seeing this crap being spammed for the first time..fairly safe to say im disgusted by the cheap lack of skill exhibited by this combo. Not going to name anyone in particular but one such AD *** was waiting for groups to run in.. stack on the flag to take a resource then cloak and do their cheesy crap combo.

rather than *** about it though i just thought about ways to counter it. Pretty soon i was spamming Razor Caltrops on every resource we took and knocking these pansies out of Cloak every time.

Caltrops, Choking Talons, WB, WB, Executioner... done.

So do it guys and embrace the onslaught of rage whispers! Every class is equipped to deal with these failures in life so band together and do it until the next patch nerfs it further and they move onto some other class..

The ammount of mag nbs is hilarious on ps4 atleast but they're definitely not ruining pvp and don't really need a nerf. If anything most of them are pretty easy kills as they probably just switched to magicka

That's what I've been doing as of yesterday. I just can't stomach it anymore. It's become boring and dull to play against, hear, and see all of the time. So I've been just focusing on PVE, and playing other games.
