Do we really need threads about game xyz kills ESO everytime?

Witcher 3, fallout 4, black desert online and many other hyped game appeared.
And im pretty sure ESO will survive dark souls 3 without a scratch too.

I'm not saying ESO is perfect ( many things could be a lot bigger ), but yelling how each new game will kill eso is getting boring.
Not aimed at the current poll thread about dark souls, but you guys know which threads i mean.

It most definitely will not kill ESO. Im excited for Dark Souls 3 but I will still be playing both for a long time to come.

I can tell you one thing for certain. The only reason this game is still alive is because it has elder scrolls in the name.

This exact same game with a different setting wouldn't have even made it out of development hell.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will kill ESO.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

How's Dark Souls 3 gonna kill ESO when it's to busy killing it's own players.

Over.... and over..... and over.... over ...... over over over over over...........

Nothing will kill ESO unless it kills itself.

    Then don't play?
Honestly, I have no idea why people play a game, participate in that game's forum, and talk trash about it in said forums....
Do you enjoy playing games that you don't like?

I haven't really liked ES games since Oblivion. After Morrowind I feel like the series kept getting watered down and neutered. ESO is a good game on its own. Not perfect, and indeed often very vexing, but still one of the best MMOs out there, all things considered. That's, yknow, why I play it. If it was crap then I... well, wouldn't.

Its not that we don't like the game its because we love the game so much and want it to be the best it can be that we trash talk the game so much.We know the game can be better and want it to be the best game on the market but the Devs just make stupid design choices that ruins it for many of us and so we tell them how it is.If we did not care about the game we would not be so vocal about it many many flaws.

Impossible people have been doing similar things for years take for example '' X is a WoW killer'' as long as teens are allowed in online games it will never change, puberty......
    Some of my favorite screenshots
My opinions and posts are mostly on a PvE setting.

    @Jaronking

Fair enough, but do posts like the one I quoted really constructively bring attention to the flaws and specific changes we want to be made in game? No, they don't. They're completely thoughtless, useless, and irrelevant.

I agree that we should be vocal about things we don't like or want changed in the game. That's why it's evolved so much in a short time. Actually, I have my own thread about group finder issues.

I would just like to see well thought-out, constructive, thorough posts on key problem areas rather than just "This game wouldn't have made it out of development without it's title."

The only thing that will kill ESO... is ESO.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Witcher 3 is imho the most amazing game of all times. Didn't kill ESO. So nothing can kill ESO (besides ESO itself).
