And guilds have their own ship where the members have certain tasks to do.

They should implement a currency for the entire guild where the guild leader can buy bigger ships and/or upgrades.

Something like in AC: Black Flag but much more complex where every crew member is important!

Sadly this will never happen.

They can't even get Cyrodiil right, so I'd hold off on that dream. I'd rather them fix a large portion of what's broken now before adding a new game mode, but if they ever get that under control naval combat actually does sound like an interesting idea but one I doubt would be added for quite some time, probably more than a year. That's alright though it can always be one of those ideas they just keep around for the future when they toss around ideas for future DLC.

Yarr, harr, fiddle-de-dee, being a pirate is awright with me...

There is a naval battle quest in Greenshade, and its entirely possible that someday there might be an maormer-themed DLC that includes more of the sort. But right now that is not even on their radar, way too many other things for ZOS to add to eso before they even consider something like that.

But who knows what the future may bring? If ESO stays around long enough... we all might get naval battles, and the pirate life!

I don't think it would do too well. The movement and siege mechanics are already clunky feeling. The movement of the ships will not be all that good, and neither will the feel of the weapons on them.
Also the water would need a big makeover.

ZoE will not overhaul the game just for naval combat. Maybe we will get some naval combat for a quest or part of a dungeon, but a full blown DLC dedicated to it will never happen.

I had a dream where i got shown a way to bug yourself in the upper levels of the IC arena. It was all nice and fun until i somehow got stuck on a rock and the whole section of the wall came crashing down with me ...
My most pressing thought was how i could cover up the damage so ZOS wouldnt notice.
Now i realized that i wouldnt even have to cover the damage cause ZOS doesnt care about anything mildly PvP related.

So our dreams where similar, a fiction about some PvP element that will never see the light of day, unless as a dumbed down PvE version like the quest in Greenshade.
