Um how does making it an inventory item fix it not fitting character models? This makes 0 sense and would in no way be any more useful than the current system.

I'm pretty sure why a lot of the costumes may look bad is because people have exaggerated body parts compared to realistic sizes.
How many female characters have there chest slider all the way to the right for example? Since this is one of the reasons female character's look awkward is certain costumes.
You may be correct though. Some of the costumes change what you look like and have a set figure. Sure male and female look different but my female character looks different compared to her original body in some costumes. I'm pretty sure this is what your talking about.
I don't think making costumes an inventory item would change anything. From a developer point of view, would there not be like a check box to allow the players body type to be used instead of a generic one? This reminds me of a problem i had in skyrim when costumes were not compatible with some body mod's i had installed, which made the costume use the vanilla body.

Well, its about the game design, and how they made it.
Thing is by making costumes account wide they could not make them use your own character models because then it would glitch everything out. That would require coding which would cause more problems. This is why they made there own custom model that changes your character model when equipped its why you see shoulders that look much wider on some costumes.
By making it inventory they can make them fit perfect with the characters model you made. This would cause no problems and would be easier and the safer route.
This is a fact, and reason why our costumes look so bad on some characters.
I would rather have them in inventory and fit with my characters model then have costumes that do not go with my characters model and looks.

They do not, they use there own custom model, you could notice this if you preview crown store costumes.
Some will change your shoulders making them look wider others will make your characters butt look like a mans like the one costume if your female which is a total disgrace.
I play only female characters and I want my character to look like it did in character creation when I wear the costumes.

Um...lol sorry mate but you clearly do not understand how the 3D models work. Your suggestion won't fix the problem if anything it will make it more convoluted. The reason the costumes don't fit some races/genders properly is because has terrible QA testing (if any at all). Having them in your costume tab or inventory will make no difference to how they fit unless Zos actually tests these things.

Having the costume in your inventory doesn't change the way it fits your character. Somebody gave you false info bud. I know what your saying about how some of them distort and change some proportions, but having them in your inventory doesn't magically make that not happen.

No thats not the case they have confirmed they made them so they would not fit with your characters model on purpose.
They use there own custom body model, that over rights your characters shape and looks. Thats why they need to make them inventory items again and if they were smart they would use there own bag, that does not take up inventory space. This would be ease of access still, for us and also better for us.
You may not care that they switch your characters bodies shape and size but I sure in the heck do care, because there is another way.

Go find a disguse, one that is not a costume, they work perfect with your body shape because its an inventory item.
They don't change your character body model but the costumes do.
This proves that I am right on this.
They can't just make all costumes account wide they need to make them account wide but also added into there own inventory slot when you receive it like its a disguise when you get it from the collections menu they can fit your character like the disguises do. I do also want them to add disguses to this bag that way they don't take up inventory space either.

You're like explaining a definite problem we all know about with how the costumes fit, and then throwing out a solution that will not work. It wont. It just wont. I'm sorry. There is no magic coding that says' "Costume item is now in player inventory, fit to character model." Whoever told you this was trolling you.

Then you explain how they could fix the costumes because its a total disgrace that some of them change the characters model. I want them to fit my characters model not a premade one on there end.
This is a must fix and people won't buy the costumes some of them because of the fact they do change your characters model a lot are disgusted by this.
My solution I feel is the best. But what else could they do to fix it without making them inventory items?

The fix is for them to change the model data to use the character dimensions rather than use a generic body type that they have decided to go with. I do not see this happening any time soon though so if you are unhappy with the way the costume looks I would suggest contacting Zos support and asking for a crown refund.
@Thevampirenight
You do know that Costumes take up slot space both in your in inventory and bank right and what you are ask wont help you at all have to the collections menu the ZoS have done is one of best thing the every done in this game.
Beside you can preview your costume in crown store before you buy so you well know how it look like on char and yes you trun 360 as well so stop ask for ZoS to go back to old version of handling costumes
