Yeah, I've noticed it.. I wasn't sure how both look like (haven't found pictures on the internet of a robe, I thought) and crafted a robe and a jerkin with Jute first to check it out. It's exactly the same.
At the moment I'm wearing the light jerkin with heavy pants, it has some "skirt" parts around and looks pretty cool, actually (like Mercenary robe or the Xivkyn medium pants).
