Can't locate bosses in public dungeons

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but a few times now where I've cleared public dungeons to get the achievement I can't seem to find all the bosses.. Right now in toothmaul gully in auridon, I've cleared all bosses except one, 'togga the skewerer'. I've looked at two different maps online and both say he's in the same spot, yet here I am and have been for the past half hour and I cannot find the boss to save myself. Am I missing something or? This isn't the first dungeon I haven't been able to find a boss in.

Hmm. The boss might not have respawned yet from the last time a player (or players) killed it. I'm not sure what the respawn timer is set to, though.

Respawns in public dungeons work so that there are only something like 2 (can't recall the exact number) bosses up at the same time. There isn't a timer as such. If the one you want isn't spawning, you need to run around and find a boss that is up and kill it, even if you did it before - then go back to see if the one you want has spawned (and hope that no-one already killed it while you were running back to it). Rinse and repeat.

It makes public dungeons quite tedious IMO.

There is an addon for it. They have been precise with the location thus far. The only time they arent where they are supposed to be, is if they have been killed.

Oh hmm I dunno then. Because the boss that's just around the corner from it, bloodroot, respawned twice in the time I waited for this other one to spawn. Thanks for the responses though!

Its the cyrodil dwelve respawn thing.

A boss is killed - the timer starts.
A boss respawns after the timer ticks down.
Random chance -which- boss.
Enter the gods of the die roll, and their sense of humor...

If you cannot find a boss, re-kill the other bosses as they spawn. Eventually the one you need should spawn as well. last time I did that it only took me two hours and a couple boss kills to get there... on the bright side, its neat expee gain, unless you happen to get ganked (which of course happens every now and then - its Cyrodil after all)
