FCs are killing PvP (Well lag is, but FCs have made it worse)

Zos, you messed up with the FCs.

It's a lot of fun to PvP with FCs, but the servers and the game just isn't ready for it yet. PvP has been unplayable now as any good fight results in 2 or 3 sides putting down FCs creating more and more players in a condensed area....which the game can not allow.

Unplayable atm.

    I really don't think forward camps are what is causing the problem. It lags if there are a lot of players whether a FC is present or not.

    Agreed, but the times where there were "a lot of people" and enough to cause lag were less frequent before FCs.

    With FCs, it extends the large fights, especially around keeps, so the large fights occur much more often now.

    When FCs were removed from the game, there were dozens of threads saying that killed pvp. Just saying.

    Well its extra code full of tracking lots of players that wasn't there before.
    What surpised me a couple of nights ago was when someone put a camp next to an isolated remote keep without any link I could rezz at that remote keep right next to the camp.

    So it appears the camps are bypassing/breaking the keep chain traversal.
    That is obviously bad as it means everyone can simply res at the near keep instead of having to horse ride all the way from the far away keeps or die in the vicinity of the camp.

    I would have reported it.....but as I spent all my time jumping from loading screen to logon screen I kind of gave up such things.

    I remember when we had them before and you could bloodport across the map to them. They were even bigger fights with much Less lag then.

    If the keep is owned by your alliance you can "rezz" in it with or without forward camp, this is normal, even if is remote and with no resources(in fact you can "rezz" in any keep if is not under siege), but if you have resurrected in the forward camp it is a problem.

    If you get killed you can res at any keep owned by your alliance as long as its not under attack.

    The traversal lines only limit porting while you're alive, its a completely different thing.

    FCs = good thing. The lag is caused by a large amount of players in a small area. Which is what the game wants us to do (you all have to crowd around the flag to capture it, you all have to crowd around a breach to enter a keep).

    This guy gets it. Stop with trying to bandaid fix the game by removing things and adding zerg buster sets and find a way to fix the core problem.

    You'll missing the point. FCs have brought more lag to a game that couldn't already handle all the lag.

    Have an entire guild that is taking a break because of the lag...lag that has gotten worse because of the FCs

    Otherwise I too love FCs, make PvP more intense

    Lag is somthing you just gotta deal with. Sure its bad but i would never quit on my friends.

    The way they implemented the return of FC's was done fairly well. A 2 min timer, small circle in which it works, etc.

    Cite your sources, where is your proof that FCs are making the lag worse? How do you counter the following:
    - FCs were in game previously, used in a way that made much higher traffic through them. Lag did not improve when they were removed.

    - the TG update exacerbated the lag in pve areas. There are more fps drops, high ping periods, and disconnects in pledges, trials, and the open world, than there were before the update. There are no FCs there.
