Proxy Det/CP Questions

I've heard that Proxy Det is considered a DoT for some reason. Can anyone confirm.

Is Proxy Det buffed from only Thaumaturge CP? Or is it buffed by Thaumaturge and Elemental Expert?

In the same way, when defending against it. Is damage only reduced by Thick Skinned, or by both Elemental Defender and Thick Skinned?

I am on PS4, and the patch hits tomorrow. I've heard/seen that proxy det is everywhere. Just figuring out the best way to use it, and also defend against it.

Yes it does, but it is treated as a DoT all the way

Does Elemental Expert and Thaumaturge buff Proxy Det? Or just Thaumaturge?

In the same way does Thick Skinned and Elemental Defender reduce the damage? Or just Thick Skinned?

A lot of the testing is skewed for the simple fact that CP allocation and amount of CP adds max magicka increasing TT values. Use this data as you will. @Asayre could give you more accurate data me thinks.

There are other allocations I could have added but 3k per respect gets costly.

That seems odd you get the same numbers for swapping thurmaturge and elem expert around. I'm guessing a buff only applies with points in both trees. As long as there's points in both you get the same damage regardless of how many seems odd tho

I found it odd as well, but alas those were my findings while doing the testing.

Yes Proxy Det is considered a DoT for the purpose of Thaumathurge. Proxy Det's damage is increased by both Elemental Expert and Thaumathurge. Swapping Elemental Expert and Thaumathurge will give you the same Prox Det damage as the damage increase is just the sum of Elemental Expert and Thaumathurge.

Similarly, Prox Det damage is reduced by both Elemental Defender and Thick Skinned.
