No-one NEEDS to buy this, although obviously a few were planing to if they came in nearer the price of a mount.

No-one will be harmed by not having it.

No-one raised such a fuss about the price of motifs which is the same.

I am not shy about complaining about this game but how much they choose to charge for something I don't really need is not high on my list of grumbles.

Now if they release a zone with no merchants or banks next then I might change my tune...

    I think that's what we wanted :)

As for utility... imagine if you will... your group is half way through a trial and someone goes 'Tav (or whatever your characters name might be) we need you to use bow on this bit' and you have forgotten your bow!!! No-one even mentioned it before! In the bad old days there'd now be a long pause but with new improved Insta-Banker you can just get out your portable banker and get your bow... phew! Not only that anyone else in your group can use it, like that muppet who forgot to bring food and potions 'cos he left them in the bank - no excuses any more, here's Insta-Banker go get them!

(This commercial presentation was brought to you by someone with too many crowns in his account)

    @SuraklinPrime Scenario #2:

You really want to play on an alt - but totally forgot they need new gear (and you've already wandered away from a wayshrine and don't want to trudge back to it). Hop on your crafting alt, head to the station and craft away! Then, without all those messy loading screens, pop open your banker and deposit all the new goods! Back on your alt (maybe in the middle of a new delve) just pop that banker up, grab all your new gear and you are good to do!

(I actually did this on PTS and was so impressed with the lack of loading screens needed)

Also brought to you by someone with too many crowns.

That merchant, no commercial for you. Not interested in a junk-buyer.

Oh. And I have actually went to dungeons before without ANY of my healing gear on. Hah. Group was not impressed.

No one is arguing that it is convenient. But is it REALLY $50 convenient? More expensive then the entire original game convenient?

    Not for me it ain't!

And that's the point, if you don't have spare crowns or spare cash you are wiling to throw at this then just don't get it - your choice minimal impact.

ZOS will, no doubt, be assessing how many purchases they get at this price point and that info will feed into future crown store items.

If I had one issue with these it is that they don't provide all the base features of a banker of merchant. Repairs would really make the merchant more appealing.

If only the OP and his friends buy these at 5k a pop I am sure ZOS metrics will show it a resounding success and start adjusting prices on everything to be more profitable.

Anyone who knows anything about training knows you don't swat them with a newspaper, nose or otherwise. Whatever misdeeds are committed are the fault of the trainer. In this sense, you could argue that we are the reason that ZOS is failing to be trained, we are the "Bad Customer!" and it is not "Bad ZOS!" at all.

ZOS does not know any better. They are just doing what they instinctively need to do, when they need to do it. Training teaches ZOS how to do the right thing, even when it is not what they would naturally do. When they do something bad, we have to become more vigilant and try to stop ZOS before they do it again.

The way you teach ZOS is by associating something positive with the behavior that you want. In this way, we avoid having to react negatively to what we consider bad behavior.

Ultimately, I think that ZOS can be housebroken, but it is definitely a challenge.

@kalimar44 No these merchants offer different services. Tythis (the banker) allows you to access your personal bank (although not guild bank or guild store). As well, anyone who is grouped with you can interact with him (even if they don't own him) and access their personal bank.

The other one (the merchant) you can sell items to. This merchant does not have anything for sale, as well it does not repair gear. (also can be used by group members)

So they are assistants like the smuggler - but they offer different services.

Just got Tythis...so wonderful to have this convenience! Just remember, this is a VANITY item that does NOT affect play so if you don't want it/can't afford it/don't need it, then don't buy it, simple really. Thank you ZOS.

    Thank you @ZOS_GinaBruno!

We bought him! I started using him while doing my surveys. Gina the convienece of being able to summon him from my quickslot grab the other survery that was in the bank, without having to wayshrine, without having to run to the bank, no load screens for me made the 5K crowns worth it!

@SantieClaws - Let me just say you always make me laugh! I love love love when you post!

To all the positive posts - <3 you all! Whether you buy the assistants or not thank you for being positive

To all the negative posts - The banker and merchant are a "quality of life/time value of money" purchase for me. You guys don't have to buy them and honestly they may not be worth it to you. They do not improve your DPS, Tanking skills or Heals. They are a convenience item! I've seen more responses to the cost of the assistants then I have to PvP lag!

We run raids every night in our guild and some of the training runs the newer guildies forget stuff. IT HAPPENS... lol! Now it will be so easy to say "No worries let me pull out Tythis. Grab your gear, pots, etc! You need me to make you a glyph. Let me pull out Tythis grab your mats and I'll craft for you.

When someone needs me to make them something at a crafting station. So easy now! "I'm here group with me and here is the banker for you to grab out your mats!"

In conclusion, (I hope my articulation has improved.. we got a kick out of that response....hehehe) it really doesn't matter what any of you negative people posted. I bought them both on both of my accounts and ZOS thank you!

They are also a precedent. They set a high benchmark for how much things can cost. That could be bad for everyone going forward.

None of us are being negative for no reason. A lot of us see it as an insult they want to charge their playerbase this much for something so simple and worry about how it may further implicate their costing if these are successful at this price.

Don't mistake it for an available funds issue either. Some won't be able to afford it, but those who can still won't buy it as principle.

If you guys are looking for today's Crown Store update, we will begin adding today's new items at 10:00am EDT (in about 25 minutes). :)

It is very likely that we will get a quick response from ZOS on when we can purchase the crown items today (assistants). But we cannot get a simply response on the fact that the majority of this community does not agree with how much ZOS is charging for the assistants. This topic has been discussed many times over and I am sure that ZOS is very much aware of the dislike for this decision to maintain the price. But to not address your customers on the bigger issue? That's a shame. Ignoring this now to allow some time to pass by in order to get as many sales as possible when it is at it's highest price point is not cool. Obviously what ZOS is doing, which is avoiding this, is not cool at all maybe even borderline unacceptable.

I love ESO and will continue to play it but I side with the majority who see the logical insanity of the price point. ZOS stop ignoring us and touch base on this please.
