Idea: Reset Cyrodiil Map When Campaign Ends?

I've always thought it was weird that the Cyrodiil map didn't reset when the campaign ends.

What do you all think? Should the map reset to where each alliance has equal Keeps, Resources, and Scrolls when the campaign ends? Yes or no? Explain.

    Honestly I don't think it should and that's coming from a person who's fighting AD who pretty much has owned the entire map for 11 days straight since all the guilds left the campaign.

    I believe over-coming the unlike odds is the best thing this game can offer in PvP; pretty much an upset unexpected victory.

    I think it should reset because it gives people an incentive to stick around in the campaign even if things aren't looking up for them. If the average person joins a PvP campaign that is 95% overrun by any one enemy alliance, they wouldn't want to participate.

    I think they should reset it, seems to be the fair thing to do.

    This was decided against to make the war seem like a persistent world. Consider, for example, you had been aiming for Emperor for a week, and were just about to take the last keep (or had just taken it, whichever). Boom, campaign reset, all progress lost. Wiping out hard work like that is a lovely kick in the teeth. Alternatively, say you know the reset is occurring in a couple of hours/days, and your alliance is in a good state or a bad state. Would you bother to try and hold on to or improve your current position if you knew that it was going to change soon anyway?

    In active campaigns, map resets would negatively impact the gameplay, as you know that everything is only temporary, and the closer you got to the reset, the less players you would see.

    Conversely, in a dead campaign, where one alliance has held the map for ages and no PvP is occurring (basically because nobody can be bothered to try), a map reset would be a good thing, as it would hopefully bring players back into that campaign.

    So I would say, active campaigns where the scores are pretty even and the populations are consistently high should not be reset, while dead campaigns where one or both of the "losing" alliances have consistently held either the Score or Population Underdog bonuses should be reset.

    Is there any point? Wait 24 hours and the whole thing would be nightcapped right back to where it was before.

    I think it would make more sense to reset maps, and then have campaigns only open for 8-12 hours a day. And then open more campaigns. So that you can actually make a difference in a campaign and still get sleep or work.

    I think it would make more sense to reset maps, and then have campaigns only open for 8-12 hours a day. And then open more campaigns. So that you can actually make a difference in a campaign and still get sleep or work.

    and Which 8 -12 hours would that be? East coast? West coast? Aussie and NZ? Night shift? Swing shift?

    With 12 hour shifts, you can split it anyway you want. Doesn't matter. Double the number of campaigns and there will always be something open no matter your play hours.

    What if campaigns were based on Time Zones? Pacific and Eastern campaigns for the NA Server, for example.
