Housing would be great. It is something I usually get when offered. I deeply hope it will allow for storage, as that would probably be the most beneficial thing it can offer, outside of aesthetics.

Yeah my characters haven't slept in years.

Player housing sounds awesome however, after the price of the assistants I'm concerned at how much it will actually cost.... :o

Lets hope its a part of a DLC and not an actual Crown Store addition. Although I expect it to somehow be attached to the Crown Store with little things you can add to your place. Crafting Stations, furniture and such.

Idk most people here assume ZOS is just gonna make everything for crowns now instead of include it in DLC

I wouldn't mind paying 5k crowns for housing provided any upgrades/additions could be bought with in-game gold, and that it had options to have all crafting stations and bank access in the house (and have free teleport to/from or be near a wayshrine).

I really hope they at least have part of it, like upgrades or something, done with game coin though. I like being able to work and save up for things in the game but currently I'm just stockpiling cash because there is nothing I really want. Everything interesting always costs crowns.

I wouldn't actually mind paying 5000 crowns or more for player housing or the ability to buy a plot of land--assuming that there are real perks to housing (mannequins to model my favorite armor/weapons on, please, thanks).

Whatever the player housing option ends up being, I would bet it won't be super fancy, since the addition could only add more lag to the game, which nobody needs.

If there are mannequins, I hope that they stay on their pedestals and don't start walking around like some of the ones in Skyrim did. That was weird. They never moved when you were looking at them, but if you left the basement and came back in, they weren't in the same spot any more. You just did not want to ever turn your back on a mannequin in Skyrim.

What would cool is seeing all of your alts walking around the house complaining that they adventurous warriors not mules. If they were in the house and being able to check their inventory would be a helpful reminder.

Private Islands sounds like a best option to me. I just hope we get something cool like Castles, Im going to be so pissed off if its some simple cottage, thats not how heroes live.

Im sure its coming, Housing has been asked even before PC-launch, 3 year ago easily, when they add Necromancers, they have added everything people wanted at pre-launch, imho. Yeah, Arena suggestions started as well back then.

player homes will be available for gold, (a lot of gold), or crowns. there has to be an option to buy a home for gold. i mean, that's lore friendly. gold in the main type of currency used in elder scrolls. don't see why everyone thinks it will only be available for crowns. though crowns will probably give special perks/options.

edit: funny note on the side - since they haven't introduced homes yet to players, and players are the most populated type of people in ESO, currently the majority of people in tamriel are homeless. :D we all live on the streets of stormhaven or take shelter in a giant tree.

One thing is for certain, this game needs more gold sinks. Housing could be one of those, going hunting and trading rare and unique trophies for your house and front yard could be a popular thing like I've seen in other games. Maybe we'll even see a carpentry related skill line where you can be a master crafter of furnishings, and other home decorations. Housing motifs? Could be a thing, I know a lot of people like collecting motifs.

ETA? I don't think anybody has datamined anything yet so it's still a long (looooong) ways off. Probably late next year would be my guess with an official livestream showcasing housing probably around this time next year. Dark Brotherhood is supposed to be the next DLC I guess and that will pretty much wrap up anything happening this year I should think.

It would be nice to have some for gold, and some more extravagant for crowns. Would help people sink gold into something, and will give others the chance to really live in luxury by spending crowns!

I know this is just wishing but something from a rented room in an inn to a mansion would fit so many people's needs and ability to pay.

I have 1800 crowns stashed up, so the price should be: 1800 crowns for housing :)
    1. It should have indefinite space in the furniture.
    2. I should be able to teleport to a station near my house within a closed space with sellers and such (a new small town maybe) This would help socialization and solve craglorn type of finding folks problems.
    3. People of the town could be from a guild.
    4. Housing should be based on a motif.

I kinda want it to be a DLC where there are quests tied into getting your place and a title like Lord when you do. However I suspect its going to be the new Crown Store cash cow, I am sure we will be able to get some stuff on quests and rare drops but unless you want a miss match house it will be crown store purchases.

I think we all release its going to be instanced (possible like DC online) because there just is not the wide expanses that they had in SWG to have player cities.

Just hope they do make it more than a secondary bank to store crap.

I dislike any idea leading to player's houses, it destroys the sense of mmo. Swtor is good example with it's personal strongholds.
I like only the idea of guild houses, but I'm not convinced.... membership in up to 5 guilds will give me access to those 5 guilds houses?

I dont care about teleport, bankers, vendors nor crafting stations in my house (I would go to towns anyway).

What I need is the ability to invite friends and show them my armors (mannequins), special weapons (racks) or achievements (trophies), something like we had in Guild Wars 1 with he Hall of Monuments where we were able to invite the entire party into the group leader's Hall ; there, we had an exposition of our elite armors and legendary weapons, minipets, heroes and achievements were represented as monumental statues.

I'd like to have stables with my mounts all together, and maybe some place with my pets as well.

I hope it's something like what Rift or Fallout 4 has.

It will most likely be expensive and you would have to buy most stuff from the Crown Store by the looks of things are now.

Who's tying houses to guild memberships? It should be tied to the player account. One account. One house. All your characters share that house. And it doesn't matter which guilds they've joined.

For houses to be worth a hoot, real-world moneywise, it would have to supply the player with functionality that he does not otherwise have. Mannequins, for example. Extra permanent storage for items, for example. If there are crafting stations inside the houses, they should do something special, like offer a feature to convert from one style to another style, assuming that that particular style conversion has been unlocked, and the player's characters have all "learned" how to bend the little bits on this piece of armor so that it adjusts from the old style to the new style. Maybe trait conversion would become possible, too.

When you bought a ship or a house in TES II: Daggerfall, you bought it mostly to have a place to dump extra loot. If houses have no extra functionality, then they are only somewhere to go to and look at. Nobody would pay for that. I don't think.

If they do player housing instances that would about all they do. But they could also do guild ships that can travel at the order of a Captain, in a load up fashion of course...

    This!

The guild cities in Conan were good but guild ships that we could dock at different places would be awesome!

Like the guild cities it should be super expensive and consume a vast amount of mats. In Conan I remember loads of guildies farming for a long time to donate mats so we could build the city walls for example. It helps drive the economy as it would trow the demand of some items right up.

I have found my happy place! I shall go make myself very happy now.

I am not usually big on housing tbh. Just not my thing to get excited about non functional cosmetics. BUT, if housing adds 260 storage slots, for a total of 500 combined with the bank, I would be all over this. Also a place (stables) for mounts and pets to be out and you can see them would be very cool.
