Nothing was learnt from our 'Hero Costume at ...k?!' cries...

(Learned or learnt?)

There was a big backlash when the first iconic hero costume was put on sale for a limited time at an extortionate price. Now I discover the assistants are selling at 5,000k. Surprise - we're not happy again!

I've been avoiding the game and stopped giving them money for a couple of months now. I had hoped the community would be listened to, or, talked to about what we think is fair. Especially for people who pay subs.

So, I'll ask the community: What do you think is a fair price? What exceptions are there? Will you be buying them? Are subscribers getting enough?

Edit: I was looking at returning but this may have tipped me too far :/

Don't over exagerate it was 2500 crowns or so I think maybe I am wrong. Not sure though.

Also, I don't understand why they're selling at that price separately. In a bundle with a few goodies and noone would mind!

Depends on if you are British or not.

"Learnt" is not a word in American English. It's always "learned" for us.

But "learnt" is a common spelling in British English, and is apparently the preferred (and likely original) spelling for them.

There's several other weird verbs that con go either way, depending on location and usage:
    burned / burnt
    dreamed / dreamt
    kneeled / knelt
    spoiled / spoilt
    spelled / spelt

I'm having trouble understanding something here... You wanted to return but these arbitrary items being sold in the crown store, that are totally optional, and isn't required when playing the game are somehow keeping you? Even after you already swore not to give them any more money. How does all that add up? If you don't like the items or feel they're too high in price, don't buy them... as you've already been doing...

the problem is not that ZOS list them for 5000 crowns
    the problem is people.
people buy them for 5000 crowns. then it worked, next item for 7000 crowns by ZOS, worked? next item by 10000
this is how it works. and people who are walking with the stream are the ones to blame.

They would not get many sells with 5000 or 7000 crowns, best price range is 2500 crowns people will take advantage of that and buy the costume.

A large number and players were pleased with the first hero costume. Hence the are releasing a second hero costume.

Yea and it's been/being discussed in those 3 threads already. We don't need new ones is my point. ;) The short answer is no, the clearly havent.

I've clearly been gone too long  Hello to all the new people here!

More threads about something should get noticed.

I wanted ZoS to improve their attitude towards their customers hence my non-return.

The Nord costume was most complained about.

Sorry if I'm not making much sense. I'm currently undergoing exams due to headaches (can cause me to make little sense!)

I can appreciate your viewpoint but I also know it's futile.
The marketing suits in charge of this aren't going to suddenly have an epiphany and change of heart. It's their job to sell us as much fluff as possible for as much money as they can get.
The only way you can speak is with your wallet but even that is useless unless a huge number of potential buyers do the same.
There's always going to be those "whales" that have to have everything.

Yes unfortunately this is true. There are those that will buy it anyway. It's been my observation that many that QQ about such things will still buy it in the end. So you're right, the bean counters won't learn or adjust anything in the future because too few of us stick to our guns and refuse to give them money for this stuff.

They are, actually. In American English, "burned" is typically used as the past tense verb, and "burnt" as the adjective, exactly as you did in your example. However, "burnt" as the past tense verb is common in British English, and "burned" as an adjective is also considered acceptable in American English.

Much as I love this game past 2 years it can not be justified an assistant worth more than a DLC... That being said I not complaining rather I let lack of sales be ZOS guide line...

Anytime. I work in a tech field, but grammar and linguistics has always been a hobby of mine. I generally don't correct people on forums (because it just annoys people, and I don't always use proper grammar myself), but if someone asks, I'll relate what I know. Though I will admit that some things really irk me. Like, when I see people use the word "effect" when they really mean "affect" it makes my teeth itch. :)

Back on topic, yeah, those assistants are a bit overpriced. :D

Exactly. We got what we paid for. For every new product (including whatever gets into the Crown Store), as happens everywhere, the producer/retailer determines the price.

I can understand people find it too high or don't want to buy it, but the attitude of some that's like 'we know better how to run your business than you do', or 'you better heed us cause we're your customers', I find rather odd.

I've even seen people say things along the lines that ZOS is unethical and their pricing is treating their customers with disrespect/contempt. It's not like they're controlling the water supply and charging gold bars for every gallon.

Let your wallet be your vote.
