The screen freezes and the sound loops like a madman, old school style.

Anyone else?

If so, why???

Is it my game or the server??

Some more details:

Occasionally i get some brutal framerate drops.

I think it's not just me, because we were doing a dolmen pretty fast when it froze,
so i quit the game and managed to log back in and the enemies were in idle mode,
and others seemed to be just coming back as well, so i got a piece of the boss.

I'm on PS4 and have, at the worst of times, crashed about 3-5 times in an hour in the sewers. Your not alone. I'm not sure what to do about it to be honest.

Try rebuilding the data or whatever. I notice it too a lot in stormhaven and orc ville.

I had 4 crashes every 5 minutes,
now it's been 15 min without one.

This is a sweaty situation indeed.

The patch has massive stability issues and was reported on the PTS yet zenimax decided that an artificial deadline was more important than fixing it I am surprised it passed certification someone must have been on drugs at Sony. One of the guilds I am in is loosing members (or ESO plus) very fast just because of this *** nothing else!

same lack of interest from ZOS on the subject, its like they just dont care or dont have the intelligence to do anything about it.

i just keep spamming sony with crash reports and attach the video clips too, they will get annoyed with them one day

After patch i alsof get frequent disconnects/crashes.. Just while questing in Caldwells silver at random times

It didn't happen until I'd been playing for around a week but yes it's happened to me on PS4 also, it's not lag its literally the whole game crashing. It hasn't put me off because most of the time its not frequent although the other day it happened a couple of times in 3 hours.

I had this experience yesterday, 3 times in a row, only seems to happen for me in IC ... And only since TG was introduced. I didn't/won't be purchasing TG yet I have to put up with all the nonsensensical things it brought hahahah ...

Disconnects are nothing new, they happened unfortunately before the latest patch as well. But the Freeze Frame misfeature where you char is locked in time (while guild chat still works) is new. Happens most of the time in the Imperial Sewers, especially while opening doors or while in combat.
This is extremely annoying, please try to fix this soon.

Getting lately some crashes too on my ps4 in cyro ... really nice if you come to a big fight, first there is a loading screen for 1 min then it crashes and after relogin you are laying dead on the ground ... gg

look at how much zos care........

if it involved you buying crowns they would care

if it involved a PC guild or PC streamer they would be all over the crashing issue like a texan president over a saudi prince

get used to just being console cash cows people, ZOS only want your money we are not even classed as valued customers. its the way they want it.

I was getting game crashes on ps4 about 4 or 5 times over several hours the other night. It was bad enough for me to log for the night. Crashing is bad enough but the load times to fet back in each time are the real killer for me. Hopefully gets fixed soon.

Time to upgrade to the PS4.5

It's hard to gauge the issue. Seems like all the big companies like Sony, MS and ZOS are being hit by ddos so frequently it's hard to tell who the fracking perp is in regards to the problem.

I keep getting very rapid almost machine-gun like sound stuttering all the damn time. Each time it happens the game micro-stutters and there's about a 10% chance of a crash. It happens most often immediately after loading while assets are loading a silhouettes are turned to character models, but not always. Sometimes it happens in the middle of a dungeon boss fight for example.

Suffice to say I have had more crashes on PS4 since thieves guild launch than I have combined since ESO has launched on consoles.

Last night it was happening constantly to folks with me in city of ash.

I've also put another different SSD in my PS4 and re-installed the OS fresh with ESO being the only game installed. Didn't make one difference.

Just to clarify, the main issue here is a COMPLETE GAME CRASH.
PS menu still works, and i can quit the game, but
the game has entered a realm of Oblivion yet to be discovered,
or at least frozen in time like Atmora.

At that moment i have been "Crash'd".

So the crashes are becoming insanely regular.

I was in a chat party with a friend who was in VMSA, and he was blue screening every 20 to 30 minutes. We were actually laughing every time he was saying it.

The people who coded the PS4 version (thats playstation 4) are now a joke in your own community. Keep it up as we all need a good laugh at just how inadequate you are at your jobs.

Sony will keep getting the crash reports

Your playstation will work no matter what HDD you have installed. The common fault here is ESO.

Yep, these new crashes have definitely come with the most recent patch. Most common in the sewers it seems. It is currently impossible to have a solid run therein as it's guaranteed that at least one member of your group will be disconnected at all times.

I dont get any crashes at all, game plays solid with very little lag and the group finder works flawlessly.

I play the most on PC but am on PS4 over lunch. The game seems just as stable since Thieves Guild and I have never had a game crash at any time since launch. I dunno what to tell the people who are crashing

But I seriously think my wife would kill me if I bought yet another copy of ESO... lmao

She and I already play together on our respective Xbox and PC accounts (so that's four [4] copies of the game right there), and my son has a fifth copy on his Xbox.

I think if I tried to get one for the PS4, she'd stab me with something dull... XD

Most of my crashes come from long plays of ESO. Or/when my frame rate goes up and down a lot. So, I'm sure playing for short periods would not cause any concern for you.

Just a FYI, my PS4 is in the beta program for 3.50. And it's still getting the same type of crashes from the previous firmware version.
