Grouping Tool Question - Intended feature or bug?

Apologies if this is already addressed or answered elsewhere.

It used to be that if, for example, a VR1 char were invited into a group while the party leader's grouping tool was active, the VR1 would be scaled to VR16, as would the rest of the party if they were not already VR16. Now, no scaling occurs unless the chars are picked up through the grouping tool, even if the leader's tool is active and they invite lower-ranked chars.

Hopefully that makes sense. Is this working as intended or is it a bug?

Intended because you manually added them afterwards. You should stop the queue, add and then restart the queue (try that and comment back)

FYI...if it's the 4th person, expect a long wait time even tho the group is full

This should be fixed with the latest PC patch though.

I believe it's working as intended, whether they decide to alter this is up to them.

As you point out, before the TG patch it worked differently. And in my opinion the previous way was a lot better. Frequently I team up with other Guild members to do dungeons, and most of the time we are all different levels. We would LIKE to be able to set the dungeon to be scaled, like we could do before, but now we can't. Instead we are forced back into the bad old days of trying to get 4 people all the same level, or else having a team of 3 Guild members and a random 4th, neither of which is really what we want.

Wouldn't the easiest solution just be to give the leader a button that allows her to choose Scaled or On Level?

Also, why can't we use the Party Finder to find a group for Craglorn? That's an area where every single bit of content is group oriented, yet there's no way to search for a group...

Scaling was way better and more fun. You get to either play with your friends no matter the level (or maybe you just started because of your friends who are now vet), which is better for the game and business as it keeps newbies around for longer. and 2. You get into a group quicker and get to meet and chat with new people vs. not doing so while questing...

    My worthless 2 cents.
