IC Lockpick bug / glitch / lag

Hello everyone,

I have been having the worst kind of bug on Saturday & would just like to know if anyone else has had it and whether or not you guys have found a fix to it ( I am so skeptical I consider it a possible Nvidia bug )...

So here's the thing, I see a chest I attempt to open it and bam! I am sitting with the worst "lag" fps drops I don't even know what the problem is but something is very wrong...

Where I should be able to open around 20-50 chests with 1 lockpick. I now use 4+ on a simple chest the intermediate and advanced ones are even worse...

The graphical glitch makes everything choppy, slow and hard to control really, I am starting to lockpick by sound tbh...

At first it seemed like a soap opera effect ( the kind that tv's in department stores look like ) but this is just far worse... It's like my fps are at 1 and I have 200 people on the screen almost.


Please tell me one of you guys have found a solution for this or that i am not the only one who has this problem ... ( haven't made a /bug yet as I am not sure if this is my problem, for example the new GPU driver or not )

    I know that when I do get bad lag, it can be very difficult to pick even a simple lock - but usually for me that occurs when I am already getting lag, not what you have described of fps drop specifically in the lockpicking interface. I am on PC, usually NA server but occasionally EU.

    Might help to state what platform/server you are on, in case it is a problem specific to one particular platform or server. (EDIT: Sorry, since you reference your GPU you must be on PC, my bad. On a related side-note, I tend to think problems like this with fps drops are more likely either server related, or if client-side, CPU related).

    PC - EU Servers

    I run this game on ultra, anti aliasing on, particle distance bar in the middle ( before TG patch ) now that slider is a bit down though. My FPS are still as high as it was pre-TG but I did lower a ton of things yesterday to try and sort the problem out ( even put everything but texture on low and disabled all the fancy stuff ) didn't help so I put it right back up after an hour and my fps is still good everywhere also the "lock pick lag" ( if I can call it that ) goes away after the interaction with the chest.

    Windows 10
    i7 CPU ( still new )
    Doubt it's my GPU either, unless it's the new Nvidia drivers...

    I am not convinced it's hardware related tbh

    That's always happened to me with IC chests. The performance nosedives and doesn't recover until I relog.
