Leveling via PVE

I'm curious, if you are exclusively leveling via PVE, how many times will you be repeating all the alliance campaigns to reach veteran 16 or up to the max level?

You can only go through each alliance once.

Well I cannot speak for everyone but when I did it my alliance + coldharbor got me to Vet 1. Then I did all the quests in the first alliance and got to Vet 7. Then the final alliance with all quests got me to Vet 14 and then I did Orsinium and got to Vet 16 part way through it. I did not have any xp bonus buffs and I did not grind any locations.

I didn't know that. Thank you for the info.

I'm on my 2nd alliance and I'm on vet 3 and I look to be nearing completion of the story. I guess I should play more side quests.

What happens if you have played all alliance stories and dlc? Is there anything to do left? Can repeat the stories with the same toon?

You can't repeat most quests, there are some daily ones in Orsinium for world bosses & delves and a few others but beyond that once you complete all 3 alliance story lines and get to VR16 you're at "end game". At that point it's just doing dungeons, trials (currently only 1 group trial is scaled to VR16, 1 solo trial scaled to VR16), achievements, PvP, or rolling an alt and starting again.

Now if you do most of PvE contet you'll have VR14-15 , when finish cadwell's gold. Then you can quickly hit v16 in Orcinium. So there's no need to repeat smth (you can even miss some secondary quests).

The above are very good ways. Don't forget to take advantage of the random dungeon finder each day too, free XP. Not sure if it is scaled, but at V16 I'm getting over 100k xp just completing it once. (Each time after during that day is only 30k) Factor in the xp from mobs in the dungeon and the quests in the dungeon (assuming you don't have it completed already), and you're talking major strides towards the next VR each day.

You can keep up levels without even questing! Just see all the sights, do all the world bosses, all the Dungeons, Dolmans, and you should be able to lvl from VR1 to VR10 (or higher). Then you still have Craglorn, Wrothgar, IC, Crodill, and Hew's ban to reach VR16.

Run a few extra Dolman's and you are golden!

It was originally intended that completing each zone, in order, including vet zones and their corresponding alliance quest line, would get you to vet 10. In practice, it was pretty close to this. There have been a lot of changes and additions since then, but generally speaking that is still true.

Going to normal MA, sewers, wrothgar and Abah's Landing and doing those quests or grinding will get you to vr16 faster. Exp potions accelerate this even further.

I'm usually a solo player and have played solo up to my current vet3 level. I am starting to see quests where it is recommended to be played by a group and I'm usually not into that. Before anyone jumps at my throat saying this is a mmorpg so I better be in a group if I am to play this game, well so far I enjoy playing it solo. Craglorn is a group area so I am going to avoid that. I'm going to see how far I can go playing solo in this game. Perhaps ESO can be played in solo up to level 49 and when you reach veteran level, this is where Zenimax encourages/forces us to play in a group.

When you mean all quest do you mean side quest as well
