Do you push yourself to play this game ? I feel like ESO is dead. After long wait (since pre launch) lag is still there low performance is still there and ZOS trying to kill this game's most important feature the large scale army wars with petty changes; like vicious death or increased siege weapon damage hoping that will disperse armies and makes servers lag free.

Zos Doesn't eleminate the root cause of the problems. They are like politicians they don't know how to deal with problems instead they go and make laws that limits people's freedom to play as they want. Its like a trying to build a skyscraper on a swamp...

Up until this moment i had hope and that hope was pushing me to play this game. But ZOS literally killed the idea of ESO and consumed the hope and the desire inside of me.

I think i might have a slight issue with pick pocketing and doing the repeatable quests of the thieves guild, i also might have a slight little issue with crafting too many vr16 sets just to have a big closet to change looks.

I don't play actively right now, given performance issues and poor replayability. Maybe they can sell me on Dark Brotherhood, but I'm skeptical to it. It better show a damn good representation of the Colovians(since they showed Kvatch teaser picture) and how they are different from the Nibenese. Then I can at least enjoy it on the basis of its lore.

Very poor performance Lag and Bugs are Dominating this game.

Its all about balancing other games and ESO for me, wish devs would also understand this, at least this genre isnt the 90s anymore, or early 2000 when you had to play or quit. Also content is everything for me, without Thief and Dark Brotherhood I'd be playing Division for 100% sure, if the content stops coming I will switch to Conan Exiles in the future.

All games have issues. ESO however has the best gameplay and graphics of any mmo i played.

All other mmos you just stand there pressing 1,2,3.... 10 and no way to dodge or aim or anything, its so boring

I never push myself to play a game, I play a game because it entertains me, not because I have to, but because I want to. I've never been addicted to any game as per say, even though I have played World of Warcraft since its release in 2005, I was never "bound" to it to a degree that I had to play it.

If I ever come to a stage where the game doesn't entertain me any more, I move on to other projects. It's a simple philosophy that has followed me as a gamer ever since I started playing games in the late 80s. It's for the fun and entertainment, which I think is very important to remember, to play the game for fun, not because you feel you have to.

All the pros you have said has no weight when you see things delayed while fighting.

I play this game very rarely now. It's become a cash grab game for visuals rather than anything really useful.

Moar inventory and bank space please. Preferably earned not bought.

I don't push myself to play ESO but I do push myself to achieve certain goals I may set myself.

AFAIC, the key to playing ESO is to sustain your ideals and not give up.

This MMO is a marathon, not a sprint.

I still have hope they will find and fix some of the issues, there have been subtle improvements, just nothing glaring in your face kind of improvements, they are over shadowed by the issues still. I am watching and will be testing CU, it is a long way off and by the time it comes out I will know where I stand with ESO, I would still like to be playing ESO, but will have to wait and see what the future holds. As of now I am still having fun in the game and I do not feel like I am pushing myself to play it.

I do not think ZOS is "doing great".

I am well aware of the game's flaws.

But man, if there is something I don't do in my life is to turn my hobbies into obligations. I play when I want, if I want, limited only by what little free time I have. If I don't feel like playing, I don't even log in for dailies, I just go do something else.

Most days I feel like I'm forcing myself to play. Occasionally I'll actually really enjoy my time spent in game. Granted this is when the servers aren't laggy, friends are on and the PvP is competitive.

On days where the servers are laggy, or I'm grinding a new character, I ask myself why I'm still playing. The answer to the question is quite simple; when it's good - it's great.

Probably one of the more skewed attempts a poll i've seen, its like asking a person if they want water or food and no they can't have both.

I feel the game's attempt at variety does show they are trying to to fit all types of playstyles which is a "push", but they are not pushing people to play by the catch up mechanic and eliminating vet ranks (thereby eliminating content).

Yes I feel the same way - Your post was largely your opinion on one type of content being not to your liking and then in a grandiose manner stating "the game is dead", simply not possible to say that with the 1 type of content you mention.

I'm not playing anymore - whether a person is playing or not again has nothing to do with whether ZoS is providing content for a person to play. This implies they have no free will are obligated / forced to play.
Still got hope - hope for what? about what? with what? what defines "push to play"?
I don't know I'm a new player still got tolerance - I've been around since beta and I still play regularly, I am tolerant of ZoS and often I am satisfied with them as are many others.

I am not attacking you, but it may have been better to wait for a clearer head before trying to post this.

Don't sub anymore, but still play. Holding hope for the future. I think I still enjoy it, but I might have just become accustomed to it...idk. I even checked out another MMO that just came out recently, but it was a joke. I guess I must like it cause I keep playing it almost every night

Outside of the annoying Veteran Rank grind that I know turns players off of the game, and has been a major deterrent to my wanting to level new characters, I find the game rather satisfying. However, Veteran Ranks are such a time sink, and it doesn't matter what method you use to level through them, that long leveling in any way feels like a grind, as in grinding your face against jagged rocks.

Outside of that, game is fun! Make it to max level, and you can find a good deal of enjoyment. Even leveling 1-50 is pretty enjoyable, too, but the second you hit that get grind... *gags*

The option relevant to me is not present. I don't think ZOS is doing a GREAT job, but I don't feel the need to push myself to play. I play willingly and often.

Got burnt out on it, took six months off, came back, saw not much has improved.

It is free to log in and fart around now though, so I can do that without investing hope either.

Don't have to push myself to play. I have a guild of awesome friendly people to manage each day

But not only that, I have loads of the game left to explore! The lag and minor things like that don't really stop me from playing, I've never forgotten when I used to own a very old laptop and that was my only way to play games, used to have minecraft run on it at about 4 fps if I was lucky. So I always remember that and never take things for granted

Very well said and agree 100%. I've "pushed" myself in some other games and at the end, it wasn't a great experience. My stress level and unhappiness level were very high and when you think about it, it all seems silly. This is entertainment right? When something that is fun starts to become a huge source of stress, it isn't worth it. If a game starts to feel like drudgery, I move on to other endeavors.

Last time I played MMORPG was around 13 years ago (Ultima Online) and after that I got hooked in to 1vs1 real time strategy games like Starcraft; Warcraft 3; Starcraft 2. As these games are driven by player vs player encounters, because it is a real way how to determine who is better. Today I don't have a gaming PC, but have Xbox One and c'mon, ESO is best MMORPG on Xbox by country miles.

I play when my son and wife are asleep on the evening on less populated campaigns and can't really complain about performance, everything is smooth and I really enjoy the game.

When/if ESO gets a 1x1 duel arena and a ladder (leader board if you like) than we will get x10 more complains on forums, but in reality this is the only way how to make a perfect game. Just create statistics for 1x1 matchups and monitor how _the real_ balance.
Like if you have data for 10 000 duels between stam DK and magicka Sorc and DK wins in 65% of the battles, it is quite obvious what is the score and a balance issue is required. Every time someone complains that his stam DK got owned by magicka Sorc, you just point him to the overall data and ask him to pay attention to his setup and stop blaming the game.

P.S. since TG came out, stampede and critical charge started to bug. I press the key for them and I can see it is being activated on the action bar, but nothing happens - it is super annoying. Have to switch bars for Major Expedition buffs...

P.P.S. ESO is doing a great job.

I don't have to push myself to log in, but I do have to push myself to play parts of the game. After getting two characters through gold, I have three that are sitting at veteran 1-3 as I can't stand grind that is the silver zone. Even though I have started a character in that faction, I will do the faction quest but I will be going to Cyrodil, Wrothgar, and Hew's to do the leveling.

Still got hope

Clicked on the thread thought it was about pushing yourself to achieve things like VMA, Vet Dungeon speedruns, getting better at 1vX in PvP ect.

Pushing yourself to grind that alt to a higher level even though you have killed too many mobs this week...

Farming a boss even though you only need 1 more motif page and you have killed this boss 50 times but you are pushing through and refuse to pay for it...

Left sadly disappointed...
