When you finally get your download done, go to ESOUI.com and get the add on Multicraft. It gives you the ability to set any quantity to craft and then you go make some coffee or something while your character crafts for you. :)
The cooking took you about 6 minutes, if you are, um, really attentive in the use of your R key.

    1. Queue up for a random veteran dungeon
    2. While waiting, go steal in Orsinium
    3. Wreck vet dungeon, decon v15-16 loot, sell <v15 gear.

Why steal in Orsinium? And where in Orsinium?

In the inn in Orsinium there are tons of lootables which fill back up when you log out and back in. Similar to how motifs used to be farmed.

Buying out the market, and then jacking up the prices and selling it all.

Yep. This is how people do it. Add some cross-guild price collusion though networks of affiliated guilds and you have the ESO economy in a nutshell. I wish people that only play this game for the economy would go back to EVE.

I've busted some of these price-fixing games. When nightwood was overpriced, but people were buying it anyway to get writs done, I got the price down by harvesting/sanding/guild-store-selling nightwood non-stop. My price was always 85% of the robber baron's price. At first they tried to buy me out and resell at their jacked-up price, but I always had more. I could meet the demand, and I did. The price-fixers were holding a ton of wood that they could not sell. So their prices came down to meet mine. And then my price dropped another 15%. This kept repeating until a fair price was reached.

Beautiful. It makes me happy that there is someone out there that hates this type of thing enough to actively thwart it. You are the hero Tamriel needs.

Crafting dailies. There's a youtube video breaking it down, you can earn ~80k per character per day.

EDIT: I take that back, it's like 80k per account per day (8 characters each doing all writs), or ~10k per character.

I have 6 Provisioning Hirelings that overflow my bank with Ingredients. I used to sell the ingredients 100 stack at time. Now, I make the foods and drinks from the excess. I sell the completed foods and drinks to the NPC Vendors. I earn between 10,000 and 30,000 a week from this. However, if I did not have an add on like Cookery Wiz to do this, I would sell the stacks of ingredients in the Kiosks.

Legerdemain Activities, I can net 5,000 to 10,000 per character doing this without too much effort or time spent. Except in AD zones, those seem to be low on the easily lootable container count.

Grind Mobs in Public Dungeons. I can get 100 to 200 gold per pull, along with Loot for selling and deconning.

The other avenues are selling things through the Guild Kiosks, occasional crafting orders and farming for mats to sell.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I make the majority of my money stealing and crafting gear for people.
Granted all that money goes into buying new motifs because they just keep making more for me to collect.

...you mean other than steal, steal, steal? I'm extremely new to the game, haven't had it a week yet, and haven't really left Daggerfall and surrounding areas, and I quickly fell into my old habits from previous ES games..."if it ain't bolted down...". Normally I'm a hoarder, but you can't do that in this game, so it almost urges you to sell everything, and from fencing stuff from the very beginning, it seems a pretty easy flow that way.

So far, I'm finding the best bang is around the docks & on the ships, getting those collectibles to sell is doing it so far, but this is still very early in the game for me. The thing is, you can see lots of crafting items & consumables at 1-2 gold per, but when you're getting 40gold per stolen collectible it adds up pretty quickly to the bank & bag capacity upgrades. Then that will feed into driving all the crafting skills, and I expect that's where the bigger bucks will come.

I made nearly 1 million gold in the 2-3 weeks after the TG release. How?

Farm and sell new/changed items. First you read the PTS notes to find out what is coming and how to get a hold of it (eg new motif pages and sets). Then stock up on things currently in-game that help you get new things or which will increase in value once the DLC/Update lands (eg, from TG DLC, Cyrodiil Treasure Maps and style mats for Trinimac, Malacath, and Soul Shriven). Then once the DLC/Update is live, cash in as soon as possible, while also checking guild stores for things people are selling without knowing their new value. With every day that goes by, the prices of the newest and shiniest will drop, so the goal is to sell fast while maintaining as premium of prices as possible. This means selling via zone chat, and only putting duplicates in guild stores; the prices in guild stores are too static and can't fluctuate based on emerging demands and rapidly changing values (better to sell it off for 30k rather than collecting dust asking for 50k in guild store).
