Which styles look good with white and red dyes?

As we all know, bright dyes might look awkward on gear so its kinda hard to find a decent style combination if you dont want to use black dye.
For example, here's 2 sets of gear, dyed with "Julianos white".
BakWa3B.pngS7yWUE4.png
Not only it doesnt look "white", the color is different on every dye-able part (part of Imperial robe has blue-ish shade, while another part is almost yellow). Same thing often happens to red color, even the most vibrant dyes look brown or grey.
I used to like my EP style robe, but since the latest patch it inflates characters upper body for some reason. I've made a thread about the issue, but since its not really gamebreaking, it might be not fixed for a while. It looks even more awful in motion so Im looking for another style to recraft the robe, and I need some advice. ^^
Thanks in advance!

The second picture reminds me of the illusion that went viral about a year ago, was it a blue/black dress or was it white/gold...?

Thing with Dyes, is the all look different on different materials. I have an L35 Alt who wears Heavy Chest, Legs and Helm and I use a Red Dye on that and it looks great, rich and vibrant and very red. When I try to apply the same dye to VR15 gear, it is pastelish and faded and kind of pink.

You really have to apply pretty much every dye to see some thing you like. I have even applied Brown dyes that come out with a nice gunmetal gray tone on some materials. One thing that can help is to hit the randomize button a few times, then you can get an idea of some dyes to try.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yep, and this is very confusing :( Also sometimes colors dont look like swatches at all - for example, entoloma blue is brown on some gear pieces, and Magnus setting red is dark purple...
I dont have every motif to test so I asked in case someone already has vr16 white or red armor/robes.

The other issue is. it's not just the Materials your applying the dyes to, it's the Motifs that you are applying the dyes too. This is why I gave up on creating sets of dyes. I did it back when the dye system first came out, and the combo did not look the same on anything I applied it to.

On the other hand, we get very few players wearing the same colors in the game, so everyone looks different. But, as you have pointed out, finding the right dye combo is a daunting challenge. I am particularly keen on finding a red that looks as good as it does on my L35 for my VR15/16 gear. So, now I am furiously chasing down Dolmen Generals to get that dye unlocked to see if I have any success with it. I hope its not Regicide Red, the one you get for killing the Emperor. That is one I may never get.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yeah, I wish we had more options for dyes. :( Now its kinda tricky.
And well, Regicide is not that fancy actually. That's how it looks like:

    AsQDsrB.png

On many styles it looks like washed out brown with a small hint of red.
Emperor red is really vivid though, but I dont have it.
Craglorn crimson and Dragonstar red are my favourite reds, theyre more shiny and look decent on most styles:

It depends greatly on what armor type you're using. You seem to be going for light armor, so I can say for sure that the new Trinimac style looks pretty good with Julianos White, except maybe some parts of the pants, which have these godawful stains for no reason. You're gonna have a hard time with the red, though, as it will look super dark on some parts of it, super light on others, and metalic on the metal bits. It can be rough to make it work.

Yeah, I need to replace that bugged robe. :(

I looked up the color I am using on my L35 (L30 Gear). I think this is Orcathalium, which is greenish as a base color, but I am using Pact Conqueror Red on that armor. And, it's RED, a beautiful rich vibrant shade of red. I grabbed a screenshot last night, but forgot to upload it.

    @Ritzey01
I tried to craft it, and that's how it looks like:
    yjFkuaY.jpg
Also this is a robe, it seems to be identical to jerkin.
    MjvuFK5.png

And if anyone's wondering, AD style robe has weird black spots if you dye it with light colors
    9GMxczS.png
And upper part looks very bulky on female characters.
