State of the Game - I want to come back

Hey guys,

I know this has probably been asked multiple times by many other users. I couldn't find a more recent thread though.

So I haven't played the game for almost a year now, I was wondering how the game is doing in terms of player base, guild activity and the like.

I want to come back to ESO and give it more attention, but I wanna confirm that the game is still very active before doing so. I haven't been interested in an MMO for a long time (Since FFXI, which I played for 5 years straight).

The above question being said, I'm going to be playing on Console (Xbox One) and I'm hoping to find a guild/group of players to just mess around and have fun with. I haven't completed the base game content wise and I really want to storm through it and then move onto the first DLC. I basically want to consume content and make ESO my main MMO.

Anyhow, if someone would answer me I'd appreciate it. Thanks for your time guys!

I'm playing ESO since 2 months (PU-EU) , game is awesome , there are many active guilds in PC, sorry I dont know abt XBOX guilds ...

How stable is the game? I've seen a number of posts saying that the game is super buggy currently, which is kind of concerning.

Also, how easy is it to group up with people now that they've revised the group finder? (Queue times?)

To be honest , 32bit client is bug free
They have introduced 64bit client(along with the Thieves Guild update) it had minor bug in the begining to fix it , they released a patch which inturn gave birth to many minor bugs , and they wer releasing fixes daily and I have stopped playing in 64bit , hope they will fix it soon

I dont find any change in the group finder tool(mechanism) except the interface change and daily rewards , and sometimes it takes 30mins to find a random dungeon(maybe because of players not using it)
Many are still using the same old "LFG" in chat

On the whole , in my opinion , 32bit client is good at the moment and it wont ruin your fun

As said above playing on the 32 is the same as ever - not a problem. The 64 can be a bit of a psychedelic trip! As a healer I have no real problem getting in a group.

Since you're playing on PC I guess most people would be using LFG or chat to find grouping. I don't really have that option on X1.

Anyone who's currently playing on X1 or PS4 wanna chime in?

I'd be really interested to find out how well the grouping tool works on console now.

I'm actually quite excited to come back now.

Hey mate, I'm playing on PS4 been playing about a week, just hit level 43. Games great I love it and not really any complaints from my point of view I just want there to be text chat which is coming soon apparently.

Awesome I'm glad to hear the state of the game is good on PC as well as Console.

I'm definitely going to give it a good long play this weekend.

Probably going to start either a Sorc or a Nightblade, since I've been away for awhile.

No sense in continuing with a character I haven't played in a year.

It's buggy but not game breaking so I except some but all of it to be fixed.

I totally agree.

I mean as long as the bugs don't affect my gameplay I'm totally fine.

It's when there's an inherent game blocking bug or annoying bug that's easy to encounter/reproduce that it then becomes a massive issue.

Most of what I've heard/scanned via the forums are graphical issues or minor combat/balance tweaks that may or may not need to be addressed.

I've been ingame since the first betas,and I fond the game is doing just fine.Some bumps,but overall fine.

Just get in and play. if you havn't beat the base game yet. IE not even max level, you may as well as have never played the game. because the game begins when you hit max level.

How does the game begin at max level? What happens then to make it more? I'm only at V5 with my best Vet.

I know that the game doesn't actually begin until Max Level. Because of the Veteran Content available and all of the DLC and what not.

I just wanted to know if there was a good reason for me to invest my time into ESO again. FFXIV ripped me away for quite awhile since I had expendable income and was able to pay the sub. Unfortunately I don't have that expendable income anymore and still want to invest my time in a decent MMO.

It was more just getting a heads up from someone who's been playing the game for awhile and it seems like the game is fine. I played a whole bunch this weekend and rolled a Breton Sorc on XB1. Hit level 11 after doing a bunch of running around and Questing. I'm going to be continuing to play since I really do love TES and it's world and lore.

Thanks again for all the responses to this post guys. I appreciate it. If you're on XB1 and have a good guild...haha lemme know as well, since I'm gonna need to join one since I've come back.
