Ring/pledge of mara question

Hey all,
I first had a character who was married with a character of a friend of mine.
However, i wanted to change the appearance of that character, and couldnt, and since she was only level 8 i decided to delete her while storing my items in my vault and so was the ring too.
I then deleted that character, made a new one that had the same name as the previous one, and got the ring back.
However, will the ring still work now? or should i buy a new pledge of mara?
I cant it now with that friend since he cant play for a while.
Hope someone can ehlp me here.

✭✭✭You're probably going to need to buy a new one. I believe that while the name is the same each character has some sort of hidden unique identifier so even with the same name it'll still be different for the pledge. I could be wrong though.Valrien Dravic -- Level 50 Dunmeri Sorcerer (EP)
