64bit client via launcher?

Hey all,

Might be a silly question, but the 64bit client has improved my eso a lot, however I cannot run it via the launcher and thus steam does not log my gametime or enable the overlay... Anyone have a fix or workaround for this?

Wait for them to update the launcher.

Rename eso.exe to eso.exe.bak
Rename eso64.exe to eso.exe

That should work until the next update, because you will get a new exe.

Give it a try, if it doesn't work give the files the old name to revert the change.

How about this: I've never been able to use the 64 bit client, as it's always the "wrong version" so likely never got updated. Is the only way to update it by doing so from the Launcher?

Well i just did as @Haxnschwammer wrote and it work mate

I figure it will, I'm just curious as to why the Launcher would have once given me the 64bit .exe, but not subsequently updated it. Notably, I only became interested in that version when I noticed that it was broken and wondered why.

Dont forget to rename the clients to the original names before updates, if not you may be in trouble.
