Scaling gear after vet removal

Will low rank gear scale after veteran removal because there's a lot sets below vet 1 I would like to try on v16s

    gear will be usable on based on champion points, lets say V1 changes to 10 champ points for a rough example, the gear will say you need 10 champ points to equip, and upwards

    So will I say level 30ish set be viable to use v16 in the future I hope so there will be a lot different builds

    I feel like I saw on on of their shows that they had said that they might look at things like that in the future, but for right now, that is not going to be a thing.

    I feel like I saw on on of their shows that they had said that they might look at things like that in the future, but for right now, that is not going to be a thing.

    Well I hope they do there's a lot sets that could be very useful if they added scaling gears

    The level will change but not that stats...

    lvl 50 (max CP needed) gear will a still have VR16 stats. Using a lvl 30 set after vet ranks are removed would still be like using a lvl 30 set now. After this update CP will actually matter in Non-CP campaigns because the more CP you have the better gear you can use. But it would not matter too much if they make it so that the only CP needed to use max tier gear is the amount a new account that levels a character from VR-1 through 16 in the current system.

    I hope they implement gear scaling for gear that will be obtainable at future higher level caps.. such as item sets from vICP and vWGT. If they were to increase the cap by 2 vet levels again (20 cp with vet ranks being removed) and I had to refarm my scathing mage/spell power cure.. I would rage, probably to the point where I would drop this game entirely. It pissed me off enough when the Imperial City DLC was released and vet ranks were increased by 2 so I had to go refarm every single monster helm THAT I ALREADY HAD, just in a higher level.

    Scale sets like these (including monster helms) PLEASE.

    So, as you're leveling through CR the first time, you'd be unlocking higher tiers of CR gear. So there will be level 50 gear, like now. Then there's CR10 gear (VR1), and when you hit CR10, you can craft and use that. Then when you hit CR20, it's new gear again, if you want it.

    Once you've taken one character to CR160, you will never have a use for CR150 or lower gear again. Once a character hits 50, their only gear progression will be based on drops, or crafting limits, if you want to give them CR160 gear from your alt, you can.

    What you (probably) won't be able to do is equip CR160 gear on your non-50s. Also, there's an open question of what happens to CR gear in the non-CR Cryodiil campaign.

    But, if you hit 50 on a character, you'll be able to instantly start working on their endgame loadout, if you want, after the change.

    Exactly, that is in my opinion the best route they could go with the 50+ gear. Don't put a cp requirement on it.. just let it scale with you as you earn more CP.

    VR Removal is not more than removing extra terminology, there's will be Champion Rank 160 which can be considered as VR16, so battle scale will scale to current top champion rank instead of veteran rank

    I understand that what I'm asking will sets that drop in low rank areas be viable

    Your argument is wrong. Nobody invests into a gold gear before reaching V16 anyway.

    I would even say that it has a stimulating effect as there will be more demand for gold temper. Many people have a Veteran Alt which is not V16 and don't bother investing into gold gear until they reach V16. But half of them probably quit before that.

    no, gear will still go upwards in strength based on level, at 50 and above it will still go upwards in strength, but instead of veteran ranks it will use champion points

    I would be completely happy with an upgrade process that required time/mats/gold whatever. I agree that gear shouldn't just automatically increase in value with the player, but the RNG grind is too extreme for many pieces.
