So I've noticed if I log out of my character, and stay on the login screen for literally more than a minute or 2 it will say 'kicked from the server for inactivity.' Like wow. You are really, really cheap ZOS. I hate having to log in 15-20 times a day. I obviously have to log out sometimes to save my 50% xp boost like dang...

    Yeah, I know. It's pretty harsh, especially if you're creating a character and it suddenly kicks you off.

    On Blade and Soul, your character pretty much stays logged in forever until you DC/A Zebra turns your PC off. That's a bit too extreme though, cause it doesn't help the servers with a load of players standing around who've been AFK for hours, but still - I'd say at least a 10-20 min inactivity should kick you off, not like 2-5 mins.....

    Stay in game 15 min timer.

    Character selection screen 5 min or under, haven't personally timed it.

    Just stay in game and you'll have longer.

    Not an option when you're on an xp boost :cry:

    Main issue IMO is with character creation. On console the naming process is not considered activity, and if you don't back out and move through the options or something similar it will kick you out and you'll lose everything you set up on that character.

    On PC I've sat on that screen for over an hour a few times. Consoles got the short end there.

    Short answer, don't use an xp pot unless you can stay for the whole time. Or go without fully if you've only got a short window of time to play.

    I watched 30 min of hard working typing with a frick-frackin controller (on console) be whisked away by ZOS and their socialist timers.

    Yeah I was kicked once for having a lengthy conversation with someone in chat. Keyboard activity should count as activity. As for the login timeout, pretty sure zos decided having players sat for hours on the character selection screen somehow impacted server load, can't think of any other reason why they introduced a timeout.

    Has to be a bug,or something.I have never since betas been kicked out in a minute for inactivity.I have gone out and gotten a coke from the machine outside,and come back with my character still right there.I get like half an hour before I get logged off.

    I could record it sometime. The interval is 2 minutes - 10 minutes. Anything inbetween, I get kicked for inactivity. One time I left for legit 2 minutes to fill my water, and came back, inactivity kick.
