Mag DK - CP investments post TG?

Any of you brainiacs have any advice to offer in regards to best way to allocate points for Mag DK post TG DLC? We now have a CP for increasing the effectiveness for dmg over time. So what is the best allocation of points in the Mage tree for max DPS in PvE?

I am currently wearing Julianos all divines, Willpower with arcane and spell dmg, and Skoria (divines shoulders, infused helm); 5-1-1 Undaunted Mettle
Double Destro, both Precise
I am at CP cap

Edit: Most interested in maximizing PvE as the choices are slightly more straight fwd for PvP.

@Asayre You are the genius behind most of the games perfected ratios. Any input?

Best to just wait for his response. I'm expecting some crazy graphs and algorithms. Is he a mathematician or engineer IRL?

I've used Asayre's spreadsheet to find the base CP setup, but I've been tinkering alittle and put more in thaum. Still haven't found the optimal setup, but I think I'm close with 36 points in thaum!

Yes, but to put that many points in Thaum, or any at all, means you are taking them out of elfborn and spell erosion. Is less crit dmg and spell penetration worth the extra little bit of DoT? I would like to see actual dmg numbers in parses, and hard math in comparisons

Well, first off you can see for yourself using Asayre's spreadsheet found in his arithmagic post. That'll provide you with hard math. From there, I used my own Bloodspawn parses (3 of them) to determine how my DoT to non-Dot ratios are.
Take it with a grain of salt. CPs base heavily on your skills and playstyle now.

most true PVPer's are running a bunch of impen on their gear which is negating the effects of critical damage. Considering how many things count as a Dot for magDK's you are better off putting some points in Thaum and reducing elfborn

True. Guess I should have specified I was most concerned with PvE in regards to the question. As you mentioned, with reduced crit dmg in PvP, in removes a factor from the equation and makes the choices much easier.
