Ps4 activity finder, problems?

My Friend and I, have noticed that grouping has been taking much much longer than it used to pre patch.
Any one else finding this?

Yup this is happening to me this moment. I haven't been able to find a group since the patch and so haven't done any dailies

At least its not just us! We managed to get one yesterday, but it took all day!

Iam a healer and i can barely do the daily, ive been just doing random dungeons because it doesnt take along but yes since thw update something isnt right.

Took so long my cousin and I did it on our own (wayrest easy AF) get to last boss and finally find a group, get ported out of dungeon.

The entire update is broken. I can't pvp and I can't run dailies. I got the maelstrom weapons I need so there's nothing for me to do now it's stupid...

Yeah usualy my friend and i play as a healer and tank, when we look for a group it usualy is very quick, but since patch it is just not occuring at all.

Well Yeah yesterday we needed 1 extra for darkshade, we always grab an extra if we need it or not because it's the right thing to do, but the wait was 30 mins. So much so it of course came in when our valiant group leader went to the toilet. To our surprise we had a group of 7 while I was screenshot-ing that moment ( to have a laugh with guildmates) I got teleported and it instakilled 3 of the 7 of us.

Another 12 min wait and we got our 4th. Fortunately we were telling group story's in guild chat who were pvping so that passed the time

In The random dungeon a player left, I think it was as I was grouped with 3 Templars while on my tank ( at least no one was dying lol) problem with the player leaving was it was volunfell between the gargoyle and swinging fire boss dude ( official name there lol) It meant the gargoyle didn't spawn and left the dungeon glitched for the rest of us and we had to wipe.

Then the strangest of all my NB role randomly got changed to tank? Now fortunately I was with two people I know yet again whom I have run with for months were yet again laughing, so the one success full group we did find, listed me as a tank? I have not changed that setting probebly ever. Fortunatly it was for coh helmet run for friends so not that big a deal but it could have been. I have a tank and hate the list yourself as tank think people do so that really got to me more than the rest of the issues.

I did get a group for wayrest once now that's a rare story a 1 in 4 chance apparently lol.

I wonder if people just arent playing due to many of the problems, bugs and lag with TG. Many PS4 players will just log on to a different game instead of playing a game with this many problems.

Flguy, I do wonder if thats the case, but in the case of daily quests I see loads of people standing around grabing them.
Surely there is enough to find a group in less than 3 hours right? With cross allience gathering as well...
Although we had cross alience before this patch.

I am now stuck in a group made from this activity finder, i am unable to leave the group, there are 5 other blank roles in this group, tried shutting game down didn't fix it, when i logged back in i am still in the group, anyway of fixing this.

Yep, the activity finder is being extremely slow. I usually run daily pledges with a group of friends (we have 2dps, 1 healer, 1 tank), but when our healer is at work it can take us up to an hour or more to get a healer. It was so bad the other day that we ended up 3-manning the pledges.

On the bright side though, our group is performing well enough to where we don't need a healer at all for some vet content and pretty much never for normal content.

The worst part is that the random dungeon finder tool under activity finder has this issue of long wait times even if you're already a full premade group. Instead of instantly queuing premade groups you just sit there. PC/Mac got a fix for it but the fix hasn't come to us console players yet...

Still awaiting this fix. And today has been especialy painfull and slow. Literally 3 hours before we got a group.
And yes we were premade only needing one other player.

On my phone so hard to find a link but if you go back in the dev tracker it has been noticed and a fix is coming in the next incremental patch which is sometime this month. It's broken with a premade group, whether that be 2 players or even 4 players looking to do a random dungeon. PC had the same issue. And since its not working right you may have a longer wait than normal when solo because maybe the group finder doesn't "see" those half full groups.

I looked for that link and couldnt find it. To be honest it was a very breif look.
I do hope its an imnent incremental patch

I dont mean to be negative, or place blame/hate etc. my group and I are just a little upset about the group thing is all.
This seemed like the best place to vent. I do hope todays maintainence will be the one!

I dont think its a problem with Activity Finder rather with not having tanks at all in the game.

Problem is that there are 200 dd's, 20 healers and 0 tanks in the queue. Guess how long it will takes until a group pops up.

I play with two other guys, we are a healer tank and dps, we look for just one othe dps.
In the past it hasnt been an issue.
It has been sugested that the problem is currently pre made groups are finding it difficult to be registered in group finder, so in effect, have to wait longer, much much longer.

But I also note the problem of people miss representing themselves as roles they cant possible fufill. Unfortunately ZOS cant fix human behaviour.

I had forgot on about this thread but I was joking around with a friend About this;
I waited 1hour 17min with dd, 55mins with healer and gave up after 58mins with my tank the other day. Now I know there are not many tanks.
Before TG patch it was approx average obviously there were exceptions and this is a broad generalisation;
about 35 mins for dd, 2 to 10min for healer, 1 to 5 min for a tank.

I have a pve tank and have another friend who's also a tank, and we waited on seperate days on actual tanks (not just saying we are) just to see what would happen. It's surprisingly long.
And there is a shortage of tanks and that's part of the problem, but clearly given that there is a shortage you wouldn't make them wait for a hour....unless perhaps there's a problem with the tool?

I finally had my buddy who has been playing since start leave last week, gf was part of the issue I.e. Inability to do content, and " progress" due to lack of tools and time zones were his words

We could only work with guildmates for pledges on weekends hence time zones and why gf was important, so this issue is really close to heart right now.

IIRC the patch is expected this month. I assume the delay is due to the verification periods imposed on patches by Sony/MS.

We've given up trying to queue as a group now.

Even before the patch group or not group it took me an hour plus to find a group, and even then half the time people would leave before its even started.

*** load of *** if you ask me

Maybe they need to let DPS go tank and automatically give them a % stat boost because this clearly isn't working.

Yes, this is being fixed in the next console incremental patch, later this month. Unfortunately, it's not something we can hotfix, or we would.

There ya go! By incremental patch they do NOT mean Dark Brotherhood. Incremental is an "in between" patch.

@Obliterate Before TG PC has had a decent wait time on the group finder. Since the update (and the incremental patch that fixed the group queueing) I have had great success with the grouping tool, finding groups much faster than before. The XP bonus tied to random dungeons really seems to have given people a good reason to use it and now tons more people are using it - therefore wait times are much shorter!

@Obliterate Give it a shot after you guys get the fix, the group finder has improved. Unfortunately it's taking forever for partially formed groups, which in turn makes it longer for solo players and I imagine the group finder isn't "seeing" the partial groups or something. Try it out once PS4 has received the patch to fix it. There has been work to the group finder but it's currently a bit bugged, when it's not bugged I bet you will find a group much faster.
