Hi all, I have v5 dunmer dk vampire and I was wondering if being a dunmer cancels out the negatives from being a vamp. Im only a vamp for the ultimate and Elusive mist if that matters anything. I wanna do dungeons with this toon but I'll cure myself of vampirism if I'll hinder the group in any way.

Only way to know is to test. Dunmer fire resist definitely helps, as does CP, but now that max fire vulnerability for vampires is only 25% you may find the biggest setback is sustain with the health regen penalties.

Those are still incredibly massive. You basically don't regen health, like at all. If you slot some sort of healing ability to keep pressure off your healers when/if you accidentally stand in fire, you may be fine though.

I've run dungeons with vamps before with no problems. It's down to each individual player. Try it out. If you aren't a fan, cure it.

Just make sure you reset your skill points BEFORE you cure it, or those points will be "stuck" in vampire until you get it again, reset skill points, and cure it with no points invested in the vampire tree.

Yeah the health regen is my main concern to, but I've got deep breath, devouring swarm and Coagulating blood as my heals + I get resources back for using my ults, would that be enough you guys think?

Leveling a High Elf vampire Templar at the moment. Obviously being a Templar helps considerably with healing in regard to fire damage.

You should not be using vampire skills in any PvE dungeon. There are much better things to slot in both skills and ultimates.

If the only thing keeping you vamp are those 2 skills and your main focus is PvE groups, then no point keeping vampirism.

I find the health Regen is not an issue on dragon knight and the magic Regen is a nice boost. Give it a go though, worst case scenario you don't like it.

As a mag sorc I find it no problem but a nightblade friend is changing back. Seems to be a lot of fire in dungeons.

I run a Dunmer Vampire Templar & I find the Dunmer fire resistance mitigates the Vampire fire weakness & I use Honour the Dead to heal so I don't have to worry about health regen. I've done a few undaunted dungeons with him & had no issues.

I do dungeons with my vampire now and then, it can be done but for me there are two pretty big drawbacks:

    - Many dungeons have high fire content. This means you've got to be a lot quicker in your reactions, as you have less time to get out of the red before you turn into a pile of ash. This is made worse by the low health regeneration (and sometimes, lag). It adds a nice layer of difficulty but your group members might not see it that way.

    - The main thing I like about the vampirism passives is the bonus regeneration, and having to slot a vampire ability to get it is rather annoying considering none of them are particularly useful for DPS (bats would be fine if it wasn't a magicka-based ultimate, my character is stamina). So you're basically losing an ability on each bar to get that bonus. Most people say that isn't worth it.
