Why does /w only work about half of the time when messaging enemy players? It's especially frustrating when they whisper me first and I am unable to respond. Is there any workaround for when /w doesn't work?

    /w always works, except if the other person puts you on ignore or is set as offline.

    It the other person is set to offline, /w doesn't work for you. It should be set so that they can't t whisper you either.

    I agree to the whole (if you're offline, you can't /tell) thing that needs to be put in. I had a guildie do this to me twice when arranging a gear upgrade request, and they got upset having to get out of offline mode to talk to me.

    Nice, thanks guys! He was set /offline. Sure would be nice if the chat box would give some sort of response rather than just doing nothing...
