It amazes me how much people play this game. I thought I played a lot, but when people are already capped at 501....damn. People play A LOT. I don't know how people have multiple VR 16s. Replaying that much content seems so tedious and draining. Talk about soul swallow... To each his own, I guess.

I don't know why you guys are against CPs. They remind me of Guild Wars 2's current system of its EP; using them to empower your already maxed char (as they won't ever raise the level cap).

The hell is the point of a progression system you can't progress in I'm at 430 and I play a few hours a day most of that time is looking for sets that I Theory Crafted or farming chest to fund my Theory Crafting. Once I hit the cap what will be the point.

I really don't care if you have less then 400 points it's been out long enough and they added a catch up mechanism if you don't catch up by now you just suck cause you're not getting EXP in PvP or PvE all there is to it. I play the game so little I have not lost my enlightenment for over two months and when I'm not farming and doing stuff I gain like 3-5 points so this is a you don't the game right type if problem.

a casual player should never be able to catch up to the hard core player. But it's irrelevant even if they have the same cp they will never be equal.
Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

The cp cap should not be raised if it involves pvp(which it does).
There is already unbalance in Cyrodiil with the current 501 cap.
Higher cp cap=god mode for some.

My suggestion: raise the cp cap for pve zones only.
pvp zones, like Cyrodiil should remain at 501 cp cap(introduce a system which automatically reduces the cp to 501 when entering Cyrodiil).
If the cp cap would raise for only pve, it will be fine.

    1. There is a non-CP-Campaign....
    2. If only some get godmode with more CP, maybe everyone else needs to learn to play?

The whole CP-mechanics are designed to get ~1CP per day, would be nice, if we could rly get one CP per day and use them aswell....

I know there is a non-cp campaign, it has nothing to do with it.
I suggest something in between, cp cap for pve and a different cp cap for pvp campaigns.
The cp cap for pvp campaigns will be limited to 501 cp and the cp cap for pve will be limited to 551/601 etc.
Different cp menu for each cp build, pvp and pve(only 1 can be active at the same time).
The lower cp cap in pvp will maintain balance.

Grinding for cp is not L2P, it's simply a time consuming activity of constantly doing aoe on mobs or doing thousands of quests with all 8 chars, anyone can do it if they have time.

There's a catchup mechanic AND enlightement-bonus...you get XP everywhere. just by doing ONE random dungeon a day you get one CP...i usually got one (sometimes even more) CP when doing PvP in the evening and i'm over the cap since they introduced it. they are rly not that hard to get...

btw. Saving different CP-Setups for pvp and pve would be great, but i don't see a point for different CP-Caps.

It's not god mode but just randomly giving everyone with enough CP 25% more damage, 25% more mitigation, and 25% more regen regardless of armor weight or build is just silly. It reduces the need to specialize and turns everything into a burst build.

They should add non-CP Dungeons and Trials too. Group content turns really dull when you have one of those high-CP killing & Tanking machines with you.

glad they're gonna get rid of the CP mechanic as a whole though.

Can you please explain? I believe you are mistaken, they are removing VR not CP's.

51 is fair. I'm already a bit over the cap, 520, but I prefer a game which remains an enjoyable activity and not a grinding feast.

However, ZOS could setup a CP-limitless campaign in Cyrodiil for those guys who have tons of CP and want to use them.
