I know of nobody that has left eso because of this. PvP is pop locked at prime-time. I think any. the lesson is don't stand next to new players. The radius of the explosion is really not very big.

My friends list were full of eso playera and most of them have messaged me saying theyr not playing anymore untill zenimax sorts it out. The set hits far to hard.imo it has to go

If ppl can't learn to adapt to the changes they don't need to play. Most ppl appear to want to push one button have stuff given to them run in huge groups of 24 or more and not get killed. Or you could put 100 in elemental defender run Inpen and 48 in resistance from the red tree and then stand in the emps proxy det and three of his friends and still not die. Zemimax actually gave us tools for the few to fight the many. Set definitely does not hit too hard. Don't stand near ppl spread out quit thinking you are safe next to your friends. Your friend dieing will literally kill you. A best set in practically forever.

Zerg busting tools are good. But they need to be in the hands of anyone who builds / specs for them, not whoever can spend heaps of gold putting together the latest expensive FOTM set to wreak havoc with it before it gets nerfed.

Dying because you stood in the red .... your fault
Dying because you stood in some aoe ... your fault.
Dying because you ran headlong into a break and got oiled ... your fault.
Dying because someone nearby exploded and you had no way of knowing it was going to happen .... complete and total BS.

Rubbish and lazy game design is rubbish and lazy game design.

Period.

Really, all my friends still play. Have for a long time. Plus, old friends have come back to play.

I think we can all agree that this is a lazy band-aid fix for AOE caps which (just like Shieldbreaker) will not solve the issue.

The good thing is that it does work, assuming you're magicka build ofc. Even if you run with a 12-18 man group you can wipe larger groups simply by timing burst and ultimates.

Im glad that there's something close to a solution for AOE caps but I would rather have the real solution instead a magicka exclusive gear set to kinda solve the problem.

I don't see myself dying to this set unless I'm trying to cap a flag. I died to it yesterday while taking a resource with 2 others, it hit me for 12k. Everybody is using it now cos it's new. It's a bit weird that you have to think twice about standing next to someone in an mmo where flags need to be capped, but the novelty will wear off and people will go back to less niche sets.

I have quickly learned to always hold block while standing on a flag. And to also stand a little ways off the center.

Removing AoE caps would be a more complete solution, but since ZoS seems to want to keep them, and will offer no explanation as to why they love them so much, I guess VD is here to stay.
