I don't PvP but I hear guild chat and it seems it's more of an annoyance than skill.
Just my two cents....whatever happens, happens as I don't PvP

Word of advice, don't run with zergs.

No more vicious death. No more scaled proxy det damage. Proxy without scaled damage hits less than wrecking blow. Most half decent builds can take it and fight on.

When you see the majority using the same and same abilities this means that something is going on. While its not that hard to counter proxi grps (roots are not under CC immunity,spread out, sieges etc) it would be good if there was a variety and not a one-way to go playstyle. Game becomes dull.

I run solo or in small man groups with 6 players tops. If you seen that state and the dumbed down combat in Xbox One EU main server right now you'd not argue this point and it's not as if I'm failing currently #1 EP. There's is literally groups of magicka nightblades running Sypher build everywhere it's just boring..

well after reading the comments here, i came to conclusion: people wants AoE proxy zergs to exist, why? because they can use that skill aswell and win either an extra 4/7k DPS for ganking a player in 1 sec or a random explosion from you for near enemy while trying to kill
or any player of other faction see that red ball around your character and "be affraid"
or any unhappy PvEr who gonna miss that 8-12k burst hit.
all in all. people like proxy, because its easy hit, have no cast time and requires no skill except to be near the player(s) and when faced by giving up a skill for the sake of assisting in removing PvP lag. they dont care.
*magicka detonation is an anti zerg skill
*inevitable detonation is an anti zerg skill
*proximity detonation is zergs FAVOURITE AND MOST LOVED skill

I'm on this server and stop complaining. We are suffering a common problem of this game being broken and laggy as *** right now and you want to whinge over this? If you didn't roll.with zergs this wouldn't be an issue for you. Seriously far more pressing issues plaguing this game right now than this.

Are u guys just tired of seeing red circles therefor you want to demonize an ability based on made up and probably inflated figures and misleading people with bogus and irrational cause and effect theories? I still dont understand the relation between lag and proxidet. For that I would ask for someone to elaborate on that point

While it can be annoying I disagree, I run proxy as a way to defend myself and to be able to smash groups just down the sewers and won a 4 vs 9.
My advice is, when you see someone using proxy burst them down and don't stay to close to your friends hope this helps

The Vicious + proxy meta is so mind-numbingly boring, but at least we have something to counter mindless zergs. This doesn't change the fact that it's a band-aid fix, but who's surprised. It seems like ZOS doesn't even want to properly save PvP from the sh*thole it has become.

80% of stats about ESO are 37% accurate based on my polling of .01% of the player base. This statement is 100% true because I'm 14% sure that I am only wrong 3% of the time.

In other news there are plenty of counters for this, the simplest of which is don't attack Zergs. A more complex way to do it is to hide while not attacking Zergs. If you really want to get wacky, slot one of the abilities in this game designed to help you defend yourself. I use Mist Form and can eat a Proxi Det easily despite wearing 7 peices of golden paper for armor. This isn't that hard kids.

Sure lots of people are running it, I even see some tanky or even stam builds running it to basically annoy people.

But it's certainly not something that I can't adjust to or even mind too much. I can see how it might annoy a lot of melee or tanky builds since they can't really control how many "friendly"

players might stack on top of them.
