Can a Real Zenimax Employee Please Discuss Treasure Trove NERF?

Okay, you people released this DLC with a minor feature being these treasure troves. There was some sort of crap where they spawned too quickly or whatever the heck you guys did and now you overnerfed it to the point where they just do not exist anymore. Can you people please get your act together. Why even put these in if they aren't going to be around?

I actually feel regret over buying DLC by this company. In most cases I say oh *** it, it's just 20 bucks. However, Zenimax's DLC changes and edits or whatever they call it; I am just feeling like I actually may have eaten dirt instead of a pizza I ordered.

PC or Console? I'm on PC and I see them in pretty much every zone. Look for the blue glow. Though it can trick you and it could be a Lorebook instead (which I don't particularly like).

Best tactic is to search with your eyes AND ears. The troves sounds a bit like Nirnroot. If you hear the sound, start searching, a trove will be very close.

I've found them in every zone I've been in even after the "nerf".

They are there on pc still. The frequency and spawn rate at first was just ridiculous though. I found two near each other in Alik'r and literally just went back and forth opening them every 30 seconds or so. Did that until my inventory was full and had like 3 days worth of items to sell worth over 30k.

Look behind walls, behind fences and buildings. ZOS put the troves into area thinking like a thief - somebody who had to stash their goods, and fast. Go off the beaten path. I find a few every night. They ARE out there.

I am a bit confused... because you start by saying that it's a 'minor' feature, which means it is probably not even something you'd miss if they didn't have it... and yet by the end you're saying that you regret buying the DLC because they adjusted the respawn rate. I hate to break it to you, but this IS an MMO and MMOs deal with balancing on a regular basis... whether it be buffing or nerfing. If this isn't something you can accept, then perhaps a single-player game might be more to your liking.

Um, how many times you need ZOS to talk about it? There are numerous ZOS posts where they've confirmed that the previous spawn rate was unintentional and that the current rate is what was intended. They're supposed to be rare. I still run into them on a semi-regular basis (especially in the non-DLC vet zones), so it's not like they're not out there or anything...

I found 4 in Stros M'kai in about an hour. If you don't have a good eye for them, they are easy to overlook. 2 of the ones I found were slightly concealed by some steps.

But, in other zones I usually find about 1 an hour.

I disagree completely. I believe gaming at its core involves some level of problem solving or negotiation. Merely being interactive does not make something a game.

Collecting troves as previously implemented may have been an activity, but it certainly did not involve significant gameplay of any kind. I expect it would bore a child too young to be addicted to the endorphin boost from loot.

I think there's a lot more content in TG than just these throves ..
Take it as an extra , as for the spawn rate i find it well balanced , i for example found 4 throves with 2 chars together in a day

The reason was just, even though I never saw it. ZoS should had never had them respawn in the same place since the release of the expansion. I have no idea what the heck they were thinking when they did it.

You say you're confused but then go on to state your opinion as absolute fact in the most un-confused manner, smh. If you are trying suggest a 'balancing' update every 3-5 months, if not longer, is a 'regular basis' then you are are seriously mistaken.

I agree with the OP, but also when it comes to LITTLE things like treasure troves, 'balancing' comes into play straight away ... When it comes to game breaking flaws like abilities not working as they should since the games release, nothing gets done - regular basis you say.... Azura star was unplayably laggy, to fix it they made it non CP so now only a hand full play that campaign hence FIXED LAG IN AZURA hahaha, their 'fix' to shield stacking was shield breaker haha, their fix to too many people playing in the arena district was add NPCS who respawn constantly, their fix to toppling charge was to break all other gap closers, their fix to ball groups was to lower AP as of 18 months of ball grouping wasn't enough AP to buy whatever vendor set piece they wanted .. twice, now ball groups have gotten worse because they're all grouping to farm for the new rewards of the worthy! These things would be accepted as 'Regularly balanced' IF they were brought to us once every 2 weeks and time was spent actually rebalancing their mistakes, fair enough but it does not take 3-5 months to come up with these 'fixes' it's laughable.

You seem more than happy to chow down on the manure this company are feeding you, and talk as if you're eating cotton candy...maybe a career in politics would suit you alongside MMO's...
