i prefer lower CP. the more CP added, the less balanced and less fair it is for new vet ranks in pvp or vet dungeons. glad they're gonna get rid of the CP mechanic as a whole though.
Why it needs to be raised in first place. Achievements, gears, CP-system, leaderboards and Housing should be more than enough for this game for years to last. More power-grab just means more whining from the community, and that leads to nerfing, like what we have seen already, CP system was nerfed and gears were scaled like whats the point, why they need to add more power-grab so they can nerf/annoy just for the sake of it? I really hope we are more intelligence than that.

As we have a non CP campaign for pvp now, I think they could be a bit more generous with the CP raises. As the cap goes up, the catch up mechanic will follow and make it easier to gain CP while you have lower totals. As it has no impact on pvp for those that choose to play in the non CP campaign, I say raise it by 100 or more twice a year until they reach whatever hard cap they feel is proper.
With that said, I'm still not convinced that all the CP trees are balanced out as well as they could be which will cause problems as the cap goes up. This is an issue that needs to be resolved one way or another, regardless of the cap increase amount.

Fight back at the crates and boxes, together we can change things.
I believe that the available CP's should be capped at something like 1800.
why ?
Because of build diversity.
If endgame would reach 3600, the CP tree is only an amplifier of the build diversity from class abilities and armor sets.
I guess that the sweet spot for a balanced max build diversity from CP's is around 900-1500
Assuming above is reasonably correct, I would favor to go at 90 per quarter to 900 and then "consolidate" at a pace of 45 per quarter.
This would lead to 1.5 year at 90/quarter, followed by 3 years in the sweet spot and another 2 years to reach the cap at 45/quarter .
That's over 6 years of steady progression.
"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU
I like nice, round numbers. Thus I kinda wished the initial cap had been 450, and would have been raised by 90 with every DLC - including Thieves Guild... so, 540 with TG. 630 with DB, etc.
But hey, close enough I guess...
Of course, I'd also wished they'd add more oprions to spend those c-points... like sub-options to some stars, of which you can pick only one... (like magic damage or weapon expertise - so people could get to pick one type for extra-extra bonus if they like to specialize, possibly unlocked once the main star has a certain amount of c-points put into it... but who knows, they might refit that someday...)
I would've vote 0, because they suck. Running around with 501 CP is SO lame. No ressource management needed. I'm having more fun playing the no CP campaign.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.
Totally agree with Mady, current cp system was good idea but it gave too much power for players to make unkillable, monster builds, and its not fun when we see 20 ppl whacking one guy who just doesnt go down.
Non cp campaign is just more the casual way of fun it was before all started going wrong. oh the glorious Beta memories when people were still innocent and aoe blobbing was not a thing.
I think 90-135 would be good. Pretty sure ZOS stated that they CP cap wont be going up till after DB, so even most casual players should be near cap whenever it gets raised. I'm guessing that DB will be a substantive DLC as well, that should give enough content to allow players plenty of non-grinding play time.
And I guess for the people that dont want it raised dont ever feel like progressing their character.
