My wonderful father has bought himself a new (expensive) gaming PC and told me this afternoon I could have his old one. It's not ridiculously old but I will ring him about the specs. I know he put a new graphics card in 9 months ago and it has an i5 processor.

Anyway, I own ESO on PS4 and have so much money and time put into it...but I stopped playing because I got annoyed and bored.

If my new (old) PC can handle it, should I pick it up again on PC? If I can should I try and transfer my purchases and xp from PS4? Should I remain on PS4? Should I join NA or EU? So many questions

If you don't mind leaving your guild/guildies in the dust, go for it.

If you're in NA, go for NA. :)

Can you transfer accounts from console to PC? You most probably are going to need to start from the beginning again.

To me it would make sense to play on NA if you're based in the NA region but hey, its all about choice.

    I say you this:
The MMORPG experience on a Console and on the PC is leagues apart.

The PC offers a MUCH more diverse configuration of the UI, if you consider the addons, and same goes with the control inputs. ESo on PC is on Steam, as well so you may get it a fair discount if you're lucky.

However, if you do NOT intend on quitting the console, it may make the re-adaptation a lot harder each time you play in a different platform. From Xbone to Playstation you won't feel it, but from PC to any other you will.

I'm in EU but I don't know which server most of my forum buddies are on.

Tbh, I'm thinking one of the reasons I became bored was due to the console version. With add ons it might be more enjoyable. I can still play with a controller, can't I?

Starting from scratch might be a good idea anyway

Yeah, you can't transfer your stuff over from console, but give PC a shot anyway! PC has controller support now (although I'd never use it - I'm a keyboard and mouse guy all the way) so you can do that if you prefer controller.

You can get ESO on Steam or not, depending on your preference. It only came to Steam quite some time after PC launch, so lots of us PC players aren't on Steam. Unless you find that there's a sale on it on Steam and you can't find as good a price through one of the re-sellers, I'd suggest you don't go with Steam, as I've heard that sometimes there can be issues with Crown purchases for Steam players. I have no personal experience with that though.

As you're in the UK you're probably better off playing on the EU server (partly because of ping, and partly because the popluation will presumably be playing on a similar schedule to when you're playing. But why not give both servers a shot? You need a separate install for each, but why not try both and come play with us NA folks sometimes too?

You can't transfer anything so my suggestion is to stay on ps4 unless you want to buy new and start fresh

Try it for a while and then you will know where you want to stay imo.

Yes, you can play with a controller, PC has that option native now. Not sure how/if add ons work with it though because it changes the UI, I think. You might want to research that.

Added bonus...text chat. You can talk to anyone in the zone you're in and won't feel so isolated. I just like it for company mostly but I try to help if someone has a question.

Yes, console is getting text chat...at some point.

I have both PC and Console....

Unless you have an existing guild or base of friends who will stay and not come off/on, you will experience the same as far as end game. If this is the main concern, I'd highly suggest spending ample time int he guild forums on this website and find a good guild (3) PvE for endgame. Contact the owner of guild traders who sales end game BoE items.

Going to PC is only going to cause you to spend more time and money getting to end-game and then....you will still need to find a few guilds. I gather the add-ons and text chat for some seem to be their thinkable solution to these issues, but its not.

Go make some new friends whichever way you decide to go.
