XB NA Server - Game is feeling very choppy and unstable after TG patch

Anyone else notice this or is it just me? This game does not feel smooth at all. Everything I do feels very choppy and the game seems like it is having issues running.

I'm having the same issue. I assumed it was just due to the increased server load. It was really bad for me in wayrest but only marginally better in wrothgar. I feel like if this were a widespread issue there would be way more people posting about it though?

Same on euro server, did dragon star last night and every one in the group commented on the poor game performance, round before last was more like watching a slide show with teleporting mobs, was sheer luck that got us through that.

Also I almost never crash but had 4 crashes in an hour in imperial city sewers.

Noticed the old imperial city bank bug is back too, if bank is full you can't add stackable items unless you remove one item from the bank.

Yup after the patch I've been experiencing the same issue, I thought it was combat scroll so I turned that off but that didn't do a thing. I even thought it was my ISP but nope.

Yeah, choppy everywhere and constant crashes.

My problem isn't lag, it's the UI. Text boxes are missing everywhere and are replaced by empty space or place holders. Quest info is gone, item info is gone.

A friend had that issue when she first logged in, she logged out, had some issues logging back in but once she did get back in that issue resolved itself.

Same thing on EU. Assume it's just the sheer amount of people logging on. Server is probably under stress as people are likely to be still downloading it as well. It'll pass.

I read somewhere that hard resetting your xbox (unplugging it) should solve the issue.

Server EU choppy, stuttering, sound cuts. I got motion sickness last night.

Not playing anymore. Ugh.

it was not too bad for me unless i was in a really populated town, or cyrodiil.

with that said, the lag seemed slightly improved in cyrodiil but it is still very noticeable. i also reached a point where my game crashed while using transit shrine in cyrodiil and i could not log onto him after attempting for 10 minutes, but i logged into a different character immediately first try. the only difference between the two was that one was in cyrodiil and one was not.

im hoping it has to do with alot of people downloading the update and it putting stress on the server.

I have had that happen to me in the past, i think it is because you're trying to log into a very populated area and the game can't take it. What I am experiencing is something I haven't experienced since I started playing the game at launch. Its not lag. it's kinda of like the same performance issues you have when you try to play a game without the minimum settings on a pc. It's like my xbox is struggling to keep up with the game.

@zos, I am not the only person noticing this, is there a reason for this degradation in performance?

Its not just you...
and to be specific...this was experienced yesterday during hours of 1pm EST - 3pm EST in the Deshaan and Shadowfen (gold)areas...
later after 9pm EST this was experienced in Banished Cells and then while questing in the Silver zone of Auridon

Xbox Eu is the same, very choppy indeed. Rather laggy. You could be on your horse and have ran for 5 seconds and then you would hear the whistle to summon the horse. Another example, dead Enemies just stand there with 0 hp for up to ten seconds.

I had the same issue with everything being weird (my inventory was super messed up) but logging out/in fixed it.

However, yeah - everything is super choppy.

Reset your Xbox and then let the rest of the patch download.

That's been the issue for many people, but once that patch is done after the reset, this issue should be fixed.

All being randomly kicked out, told I have no internet connection and its still choppy. Looks like the normal problem, dlc that was not fully tested, not bug fixed and simply not ready has been rushed out, again.

So how populated was dragonstar arena, crypt of hearts, imperial sewers (campaign show all factions empty everly one which had 1 block) and maelstrom arena? All areas I've noticed this, think you'll find the population in the area is not what is effecting the performance.

I know the lag in vMA is directly related to PvP population, I would assume the other places you listed are effected the same way

Yet they were not affected on Monday before thieves guild.....

I understand trying to defend a game you like, but this kind of issue crops up every dlc. After the mess ic was I dreaded orsinium, that release was notably better but still had issues, now this.

Before TG patch frames were 30, now that the new patch is out the frames are all choppy and unstable anywhere you go with Fps allover the place. Don't they test this stuff out before hand? Can we get some sort of response ZOS? Its ruining the game experience.

I play on both NA and EU and things just seem to slow down/ get choppy sometimes. I have also locked up a couple of times on the EU server and had to shut down and restart. Lets all hope it gets better soon.
