Thank you ZoS for a non-CP campaign(s)

As the title says, thank you for adding this. It was long overdue.

Also I am pleasantly surprised how many people play on Azura, I assumed it would be a ghost town with all the high rankers migrating to Trueflame, but there is a good chunk of old players here, having a blast. A healthy mix of new players and old ones alike - which is a delight to see.

Finally a campaign where fresh blood does not get mowed down due to having no CP, and everybody has to rely on their own skill, reflexes and strategies to be good at PvP, equal playing field. It is only You and your trusty gear, no artificial stat increases, no more one-shot, managing resources is now key to winning, feels almost like good old pre-1.6 days. Even though stats were capped back then, the current battlespirit makes it a similar effect.

Despite having 501+ CP myself, I have moved all my characters to Azura, it simply is so much more enjoyable, also less laggy, even in big zergs. (I assume no CP removes a huge load off the servers).

Your thoughts?

I like new Azura as well. At first stayed just because i was high on leaderboard and wanted to see it trough for gold end rewards. But as im playing more and more, I think i will just stay here, because it really is more strategy focused, and not just button mashing like it was before. Right now im playing it on my stam NB, i play mostly solo and im having a blast. Also im finishing up with buying Shroud of the Lich set, and when i do imma build my sorc specially for Azura. 3x willpower jewlery-5 vicious death-5 shroud of the lich (dual wield vicious death on main bar, and Dylora staff on off bar). i think it will work great, cant wait to try it out. All in all im with you, Azura ftw B)

Cool that they added this! At 249 cp, I suck a PvP and its not very appealing to me but it should be fun! Also I'm on Xbox one so its not out yet, but when it is I'll be on PvP a lot more!

I like it, too. It's taking a bit of adjustment due to the quickly depleting resources, but its a lot fun :) Nice to know you're going to have a good fight instead of getting turboed by massive CP.

For me it was just a matter of changing mundus from spell power to magicka regen as I mostly tend to use the sustain approach rather than glass cannon route and it is absolutely brilliant, works so well in non-CP.
Back when I planned my builds after IC, I didn't have a lot of CP, so I naturally went with more sustain rather than DPS, over the few months I hit the cap, but my base build is still based for non/low CP Combat so I felt like fish in the water in the new Azura.

My sorc however struggles really bad, he has a very recent build that relied heavily on CP for sustain (glass cannon with 4k+Spell Power) and he can't do nuff all - he is dry after 15 seconds of fighting, if he can't burst down with the initial combo, he is dead there and then - not even enough magicka left for shield stacking or streak xD

You might really enjoy it. Having no CP really changes the whole gameplay - you will see what the game used to be like (to an extent) in the olden days.

I support non-CP Campaigns for one reason, I think if this game follows power-grab endgame like CP system now, its going to be its doom. They dont need power-grab in order to make sure players stay here, theres tons of loyalist it seems. One reason I hate CP-gears if they are just another power-grab, gear upgrades should be enough gear-power-grab for this game. Dont these devs never learn.

Shortly said, power-grab endgame is very good for some new devs what are extremely worried and unsure if players play their game or no, but that shouldnt be the case with ESO, or go figure.

Yeah, it was implemented after a huge outcry on forums about "nothing to do" after reaching the caps gear and stat wise. People wanted a incentive to continue doing activities that award them with something, but as we all saw - ZoS took it a notch too far (that is a understatement even). Now they are trying to rectify it.

I have not took a stab at my none cp campaign because there was a couple guilds running together balling up. It was not fun.

When i went to the cp campaign to my surprise they were their aswell...

The problem was i needed to wait 12 hours to go back to the no cp campaign. xD

Hopefully once i go back i experience what you have in no cp campaigns. Im really interested if cp takes a big load off the server. Cp has a ton of proc's on the trees so id assume so.

Well now theres both. I didnt had much time to play on no-CP Campaign today maybe 10 min but it felt totally different, I probably play on both, when one start to bore you, switch to another. I also would imagine those who whined about WB and Snipe spam, find their place in no-Cp Campaign.

PPl need to step up and organize raids to clear the map from one faction, ofc the faction that keeps ruining good campaign by fully dominating should just *** off and learn to actually have fun. The huge need of having all buffs is some kind of mental illness.

Azura star definetly is best fun when it even sized populations and not fighting at the gate.

I think also this is useful as you can now spec your CP for PVE when your doing Undaunted Pledges to try and get some gear, or out farming, now that you won't be using CP in the Non Cp Campaign. I think that's also an appealing part. I like to mostly PvP, but I do like to do some PVE Content to try and get some better ***, so if you can PvP using no CP, then I guess you can work your CP around a PVE set up.

Suppose so, but then again you would still need to keep changing your gear around between the two.

Non-CP campaign is my favorite campaign atm.
i may have 5 chars - 600+ CP or so but i enjoy there ALOT more than normal campaigns (except for my stamina NB)
have 3 chars in azura, 2 in tf, moving to have 4 chars in Non-CP campaign next week though
its less laggy, less fights duration vs big groups ( groups that spamming AoE recklessly does not survive over few minutes because resource regeneration does not support reckless gameplay)
lots of fun and alot better than arrius lumber campaign

I like it because it moves a couple steps toward making sustain vs burst matter. I have long thought that players should have to make choices between the two in order to foster a bit more diversity rather than just having everyone spamming burst skills and complaining about no arenas. Maybe when everyone can't have everything it will encourage more interdependence like a RvR game should (sorry for the DAoC terminology.)

To be clear: I don't hate the Champion system. I just don't like how it lets players make up for their weaknesses to the point that they have none save for how viable their spammable skills are against other spamburst builds, rendering AvA a series of microcosms of whining about class balance in 1v1 situations.

There are a few AD guilds that mainly play on the other servers but come back to Azuras to try to keep it dead and get it converted into another CP campain. They like their advantage as they all farmed CP skyreach catacombs back when enlightenment was bugged. I have seen these same AD on 501CP lowbie alts all zerging BWB before that campaign was no-CP.

There are people intentionally trying to make Azuras appear dead. Come help push then back to their CP campaigns so we can actually play in a campaign that promotes skill and resource management instead of infinite regen and burst damage.

Yeah, but which server are we talking about? In EU AD do dominate most of the time, but not all the time. I actually enjoy it more this way on my EP toons, we can go deep in enemy territory and capture key keeps with forward camps and really spread their numbers. That's the problem with owning most the map - they have to work real hard to maintain the keeps, not so much the case when map is divided equally cuz then it usually devolves into zerg vs zerg pushing each other back and forth at bridges and choke points *yawn* and nothing is progressing and gets stale.
