Is elusive mist invulerability bugged?

According to the tooltip it states that when active you are invulnerable to control effects however I've noticed quite a few times I seem to get 'rooted' when its activated - is this intended or am I misinterpreting the description?

Thanks for the feedback folks. If its a bug then it needs fixed otherwise the tooltip needs updated

Does it really "need" to be updated? ZOS doesn't think so. ZOS thinks they can leave misinformation in the game for years. Leave broken abilities in the game for years that don't do what they say they do.

I'm glad that you, as a customer, think broken abilities should be fixed on discovery that they are broken. That you think incorrect tooltips should be corrected or updated. But the developers do not think that. They have their reasons why the game must remain in a broken state I am sure. They must be compelling reasons. But we are not allowed to know them.

Part of why mist form doesn't work as originally intended is because gap closers don't work as originally intended. Gap closers were never meant to snare people every time to insure that they connected with a moving target.

But now the development team has decided, against the wishes of almost everyone playing PvP, that gap closers should apply an unpurgable snare for reasons that make very little sense as the snared targets feel like their game is unresponsive, even with the changes in the Thieves Guild Patch.

Mist form (with a few exceptions) did a better job of rendering you "invulnerable to control effects" that it does now.

And now you have made a thread about it. Ask a templar what two years of threads about topping charge has accomplished.

You will have to make a thread that convinces the devs that leaving mist form in a broken state will help tanks in some way. They they might fix it to ensure tanks stay gimped. Just like Akatosh's scales. Only bugs that help you get fixed.

Otherwise nobody might ever acknowledge the issue.

That sounds like my Swallow Soul ability "While slotted, you will gain Minor Vitality, increasing any healing received by 8%.". It used to work great and showed up in the active effects, until the Thieves Guild DLC dropped. Now I don't see this on my active effects on my character screen. Not sure if it's gone or if I'm getting the ability but it's just not visible. Basically they completely broke this morph of Strife. I posted an in game ticket and on the help section of the forums. No reply.

I'm still waiting for wings to work, it still drains resources on console, it's the equivalent of BoL, hardened ward being so broke that it's worse for your character to use them.

I use mist form all the time. I can say that it applies rapid manuevers properly but there are absolutely times where I am not moving at that speed. Generally I've found those times to be when I'm using it to eat a meteor, a Jesus Beam and a proxidet at the same time. I always assumed that the snare was applied to me directly before my mist form was used, but I could be wrong.

With that said, I still think mist form is arguably the most under utilized spell in the game. 75% damage mitigation is awesome. I use it every time when running into a keep just to be on the safe side, and it's one of your best choices to defend against the most high powered spells.

I think it's actually working as intended...I think the tool tip only applies to hard ccs such as crystal frags, wrecking blows, fear etc. I've noticed those don't stun me while in mist form. Soft cc's (snares) however completely destroy the usefulness of elusive mist as you get slowed down so much that dodge rolling is just a better alternative. If someone throws some caltrops where I'm misting to I'm basically screwed. THAT in my opinion needs to be changed, especially since sprinting (which stamina builds excel at) is now faster than the movement speed elusive mist gives...

With no shuffle equivalent for Magicka builds snares are usually the #1 reason for death (especially on an already slow class that rely on SOME kind of mobility like Mag Dks, Mag Templars). Mist form is currently the only alternative and it sucks. Don't forget scales is STILL FU**ING BROKEN on console so Mist form is even more needed atm. Oh, but wait! They added Major expedition to chains...but that doesn't work 75% of the time either. AND in order to use it you have to go TOWARDS someone. LOL what? ZOSLogic™

The vamp skill line as a whole needs an upgrade. The cons outweigh the pros in the skill line and are easily shut down with any ability from the fighters guild. It doesn't make sense to me how ONE ability can shut down and entire BUILD. But hey, I can deal...because I have to.
