We got 4 clases at game launch, now we have 2 playable classes and 2 castrated classes... So, highly doubt about new class.

Well all characters are able to do good damage if they really wanted. So I think I miss your point?

We only need gauntlets, polearms, and summoning / illusion staves.
then all the peepz would be satisfied.

The irony is that there are no "Classes" In Elder Scrolls.
    There never were.
There were only Birth Signs, which conferred specific advantages/disadvantages depending on the players chosen sign, and there were TONS of them to choose from.

In ESO, ZoS basically shoved all of them into 4 "groups", and then said: "Right, so we'll let you use any weapon you want that has built-in spells, in an attempt to make it more Elder Scrolls'ish."

So the idea of "Classes" in ESO is a pure ZoS thing, not a canonical Elder Scrolls thing.

Whats silly is, you dont need "Classes" in the Elder Scrolls universe, MMO/RPG not withstanding.
If they had just invested in logistical analysis, (with spreadsheets, spreadsheets are good /nodnod) they could have designed a game where there were no classes and instead players just obtained spells and abilities that were tailored to allow for <insert role here> as far as the trinity is concerned.
But, in an attempt to make ESO more like w0w and other classical MMO's, they caved into the "Forced Class" Role, which while they successfully made it possible for all of the classes to do 2 of the 3 roles extremely well, the "healer" role was unfortunately segued into one class only.
Lets face it, without a Templar in your group, your life tends to suck quite a bit more.
There are no "cleanse" spells on the Resto Stave Line, so unless you have ridiculous throughput, you cant mitigate everything effectively without at least one Templar in your group.

Back in the Elder Scrolls universe, "cleanse" spells were available to the player no matter what their chosen sign, and while the Healer sign was marginally better at some things, it wasnt a game-breaker if you chose a different sign.

Also, the Elder Scrolls Canon made extensive uses of "Shrines" to cleanse long-term effects, but this would obviously be pointless to use in an MMO, given that the passage of time is fixed and beyond the control of the player.

Well theres a few issues with adding a class(es)...

If they add 1 new class, the game world will get a huge influx of JUST that class, because everyone wants to see what makes it new and different and such. Certain quests like the bounties would be a huge pain to try and complete, PVP would be filled with the 1 class and hardly anyone would know how to properly use it. And of course there's always the issue if the new class is way better than another class, effectively removing an existing class since the new one can do everything it does but better.

If they add multiple new classes, like say, another 4, this is a HUGE endeavor, usually something like that is reserved for an MMO's Renaissance when it needs to draw back old player, and entice new players. So many new skills and such being added would certainly cause major balance issues almost immediately. We could then spend the rest of the year getting minor updates and fixes that are really just balancing.

It just needs to be handled very carefully, and it should happen at the right time, even better if they can figure out how to somewhat balance what we have and then use that as a template for new classes.

New class means new abilities, new styles/motives, more characterslots, more class balance problems, perhaps even more bugs, so thanks but no thanks.

I think leave as is and just change out the skills that aren't being used by the classes to change things around

That isnt entirely accurate, Classes are in the universe, their everywhere, it just wasnt as constraining as it is in ESO.
To give an in-game example, Thalfin in Oblivion is the head of a group of Battlemages who are sent ahead of you in order to ambush Falcar in the mages guild quest. You speak to each battlemage to give them a position on the battlefield, and they tell you what they are good at. An Imperial Battlemage (who calls himself such) addresses you in the imperial City, and all of them share the common look of heavy armor with a hood.

Yes, NPC's could do role-related things, but the player had virtually no restriction other than their chosen affiliation with their signs, which was even further refined and dismissed in Skyrim, as you could change your desired "Affiliation" by using the Standing Stones; the original version of ESO's "Mundus" stones.

I agree with your overall point, I just wanted to point out "classes" were a thing in the lore, it was just more of a "job" that, for the player just gave them a bit of a boost and a general direction to go with when leveling up their character. They also made for interesting defining characteristics, especially for the RPers.

My personal concern with allowing everyone to cherry pick their skills, would just begin and end with cloak. EVERYONE would be running cloak... PVP would just be so boring with everyone randomly disappearing and reappearing...
