Radiant Distruction - Ridiculous

Was in PVP today and got hit with 20k Radiant destruction. Seriously guys (R & D) a lot of people are exploiting this OP ability these days and its getting ridiculous. That wasn't even a crit hit. 20K. Unreal.

Most people who whine about this ability at least of the courtesy of providing a misleading screenshot comparing 7 ticks from a 3 second channel that can be interrupted, cleansed, purged, blocked, healed through, shielded, bashed, etc., with a single instant-cast skill.

People say block but in ESO PVP, a lot of times you arent in a 1 v 1. So its a guy casting from a distance while you are fighting another guy. But i agree its insanely OP but i am totally good with Templars getting buff but no one ability should hit that hard in this game. Its hitting harder than ultimates right now.

if you can't get an ulti to hit harder than RD ticks you have a bad build

Really guys, you are complaining about a skill that will hit you for 20k only when you are below 25% health. As a tank with health stacked I get about 35k max health (not the best but good enough). So when I am down to 8.5k I will then be hit for 20k. Sure, instant death, but when you compare this EXECUTION skill to oh, lets say crystal fragments that can hit 20k+ when you are FULL health, your complaints are ridiculous.

Nightblade executions can do 15k+, why not complain about that. The 2h weapon execute (forgot name) can do 10k+. Everyone has some way of doing an execute. So, if you were to complain, complain about how you were not able to keep yourself above the 25% health threshold (and don't say you can execute the RD at 50% because it is a weak skill at that point).

You clearly haven't been hit by a jesus beam from a well built templar. It hits huge even over 40% health lol.

As @Joy_Division mentioned you can heal through it, cast a shield or stop attacking "another guy", block then rupt/kill the templar. If you aren't alone, your friend can rupt the RD too. Or die, come back and focus the templar maybe ? That's what I'd do.

Key words there are "well built". Any class that is "well built" hits like a truck. I see people get 1 shotted at full health from a "well built" sorcerer with crystal fragments. How is an execution skill be bashed more than an equally hard hitting normal skill?

It's finally time Templars were given the ability to be competitive amongst the rest of the top builds.

Please no more, "I got hit by 25k move, therefore it's OP" far more factors need to be accounted for than just dmg to consider a move "OP"

I understand your frustration but that is less than 7 k per second over a three seconds period. I routinely get ambushed an suprise attacks twice for more damage in less time. I even got heavy attacked for over 14 k last night... That is crazy.

I have 55k health. Running around solo, ran across three sorcs magick builds. It only took one to die by my blazing shield for them to both start casting crystal frags. Now, me being the *** I am, didn't block, before I could get up, I took four frags to the face, and died...from full health to dead. Two template "well built" cast radiant destruction could NOT do that. Might take me to half life sure, but id have put up shields and began healing at that point...therefore...L2P...

Executioner? It's a pretty good 2H skill. There are times I could count on my fingers where I actually survived this skill with little health. Usually it gets the job done when you want your enemy in the ground.

I tested Jesus Beam today and it is quite ridiculous OP in Open world mass pvp. Solo not rly a problem as it is interruptable.

Cool cool can someone post a death recap of dark flare that will be the next one to go down after these spam radiant destruction nerf posts. So let's just move along to it.

Please include literally no information just the dmg of the skill and the words nerffffffff

Dark flare is Op in Zerg situations I dont see it coming and it hits hard.. They can toppling charge and use other skills for burst because it takes a while to land. There's your argument.

Watch a mag NB video. Watch a single one, someone who can hit 3 buttons and 1 shot 5 ppl. Templars are the issue tho.

We just got slammed with nerfs and got only dmg. You should deal with it by playing more defensive instead of spamming these threads.

@phillyboy7897 I have a death recap screen shot of an OP dark flare trauma damage of 8 damage. Not 80, not 800, not 8k, but a staggering 8 damage (and it wasn't even the killing blow!)

Actually a cording to testing RD is much quicker from 50% health ... it's the most powerful execute

It has to be because it is a channel, it is a 70% self snare, it is clunky to block, it leaves you vulnerable, it can be double mitigated by cps, it cannot be weaved, it cannot be ac'd, hmm there's probably more.

This has already been covered in 3 other threads. I am glad new Templars are getting kills in Zerg brawls.

Did u know how many kills you could get as a Templar with 0-200 cps last patch?

You could kill lowbies and afks and that was about it. This is anecdotal but my experience during many hours of gameplay.

Wait, there actually was aTemplar, in his house, channel casting from a distance, and no one bothered him? Wow, looks like PvP has improved with the last patch. Templars are now viable!
