Mail delays?

Guess most of us have experience when they needed to relog or port to another zone to receive they mail. Sometimes I find it annoying and just wonder whether is it intended to be this way?

Eshelmen✭✭✭✭✭No idea why but if you C.O.D someone when you're mailing something it will be near instant.

Elsir✭✭✭✭I'm not an expert in these matters but if I had to wager a guess, I'd say it has to do with how often your game client is allowed to "query" the server for things like mail. When you change zone or relog, essentially you're reloading your character into the game and a query is sent to the server to update the client on new things such as mail. Think of it like a self-created measure to prevent "flooding".Anna (AKA: Elsir)

captainwolfos✭✭✭✭I've always found that mail on the EU servers is more or less instant, whereas on the NA server I usually have to relog or switch zones.
