A Question for PC PvPers

So I have been doing some very successful 1vXing in non-vet Blackwater Blade on my Stamplar. Problem is, I have been using 5x Willows Path/4x Nightmothers. This does not follow the meta of full damage aka Hunding Rage+weapon damage enchants.

It isn't a problem until I come across the occational player who is outfitted with max DPS gear and high CPs. Stam DKs can slow/root me then spam wrecking blow for 6K+ non crit (which I cannot walk around them to avoid). Same goes for Surprise attacks/Concealed Weapons that hit for 6K+. NON VET.

- I want to ask, was it always this way especially in non-vet? Full max damage, resources from pots/450+CPs, and killing most players within a few seconds?

I have not had this issue very often since it's only against fully-DPS geared, High CP players but the fact that you can achieve this with sustain in nonvet seems really horrible especially to new players.

True I can outfit myself the same way but I want to use something that 95% of the population isn't running. If I was a new player and this happened, along with the Viscious Death meta arriving in a few days (console) I would quit to play games where there is a chance. Seems like a blaring problem to me.

Well, CPs were removed in Bwb, which makes it a little bit more even for newer players in the Thieve's Guild patch; however, stacking enough damage and sustain is still somewhat viable. Because you're on console, you haven't experienced nonCP BwB yet, so I believe you'll see a really nice difference come the new patch. There will still be some high damage, but you'll most likely be able to out-sustain those enemies if you play it right. (:

Also, Vicious Death will be a thing in non-vet, but like most non-vet gear, it'll be a tad difficult to obtain. On PC I've only obtained 3 pieces so far.
