Any ETA on Weapon Dyes?

I know this has always been a big subject, but I haven't heard anything about it in awhile. I know it's in the works, but does anyone have any idea on when we might get it? I like the rubedite (red) swords and all, but I'd love to dye them different colors then everyone else that is also using a rubedite sword (red).
P.S. On this note what about costume dyes as well?

The red weapons (rubedite) are just as horrible as pink weapons would be. There's absolutely no excuse anymore for not allowing us to dye our weapons.8 -

Nighn_9✭✭✭✭✭Yeah once we have everything dye-able such as weapons and costumes, I think it would add so much diversity into the game. Your costumes don't feel as unique when someone else is wearing the exact same looking one. Same goes for weapons. ✭✭Its also kind of annoying that you can't have your weapon match your armor which is why they absolutely need to add weapon dyes. I don't wanna be running around with blue and white armor with a bright red sword.1 -

✭✭✭In Asheron's Call the rarest dye was pink, as it only happened some miniscule percent of the time as a random chance while trying to get some other color.
As the only person who ever, ever played the Thrown Weapons skill line to a relatively high level (78 of 126, the nest highest was like 26th level) I had my pick of the entire servers "atlatls" which were a spear-thrower type weapon that was introduced so that you didn't always have to camp the one pumpkin patch for ammo.
So I'd get these legendary weapons that would cost like $180 on eBay if they were any other weapon type. You could try to improve them with one of three buffs, but there was a good chance it would simply destroy your weapon. I went through hundreds, as they were all cheap or free to me, being literally the only person, ever, who wanted them. I managed to get an all pink robe and pink atlatl with 7 buffs which had something like a 0.0001% chance of working. I was so lucky. I think it had 4 armor piercing buffs!
It was still absolute shite, but it was by far the most buffed weapon anyone ever held. And it was a lovely pink.0 -

✭Would prefer a compromise with this; perhaps dyeing the hilt, pommel, and guard for blades, with colored Akaviri etching/script along the blade itself, and for staves and bows, the wrapped sections and rings could be dyed. That way no lurid pink swords.

✭✭✭✭✭I remember this was a hotly debated topic for them internally, last they told us, but I don't know when it will be coming. I know it 100% should be coming, though. There is absolutely nothing bad about "pink weapons" that isn't already the case with pink armor. It's not like we see all that much pink armor to begin with, idk why they think we're going to be running around with pink bows and pink hammers suddenly. I also don't know how that's any worse than me running around in a pink stripper outfit. Let the weapon dyes come, and let them come before costume dyes! Or do we really want to worry about dye implementation on something we only wear 5% of the time ahead of dye implementation on something we carry around 100% of the time?
