Stamina Sorcerer vs. Stamina Dragonknight

Hello everyone,

Looking at starting a new character here and looking for some advice on both a leveling up point of view as well as an endgame point of view.

A few details:

I really am partial to the Battlemage / Spell Sword / Dual Weilding damage dealer play styles (Kensei from FF as an example or Blade Dancer).

Currently I focus my play time 80% PVE 20% Small Group Zerg PVP.

My favorite weapon combo is Dual Weild / Bow and i do enjoy using vampire a little for the Invigorating Drain skill!

Anyone have a comment between an Imperial Dragonknight or a Stamina Sorcerer?

I tried both to 15 and there are elements i like of both.

I like the boundless storm + Pets for help on Sorcerer (also the ability to go Magicka if needed to by respeccing but i found the game play around 15 REALLY boring ....Boundless Storm + Rending Strikes + Posion Injection + Rapid Strikes.....)

Dragonknight seemed a little better.....Unstable Flame + Hardened Armor + Rending Slashes pretty much kills everyone.

Does anyone have feedback / thoughts?

Oh ye to the topic:
Stam DK > Stam Sorc

Poor stam sorcs have not much going for them, not even the stam morph of lightning form is useful.
Stam DKs have dots, more tankiness and a physical damage ultimate as well as other useful ultimates.
Sorcs do get slightly more mobility.

Stamina DK is a much more viable option than Stamina Sorc. Stamina Sorcs are in a bad place and will probably remain there. Stamina DK has a lot of Magicka based skills that synergize very well with Stamina, including a Stamina Ultimate. As Stamina Sorc mainly only has Boundless, Surge and Streak.

If you're not a min/max'er and don't intend on being super competitive in PvP I would say pick whichever you found more fun.

I ran across this for stam DK the other day, I'm in the process of leveling to give it a try, I'm really excited about it. Seems like an excellent build. Though I'm substituting the other morph for molten weapons for the weapon dmg buff.

I dont like the 100 man groups....i like to roam with only 99 man groups....there is a difference

Stam sorcs? They make damned nice scroll runners, if orcs.

Also, they exist, here and there. Mine runs real fast.

My stam sorc orc is real fun to play with but arguably they don't have enough when compared to DKs durability and even lack the amount of damage they can put out with their ultimates but I will say that it is damn fun to be able to critheal a ton off of people from just doing steel tornadoes, crit rush, and wrecking blows. Unfortunately the fun ends when you fight someone running crit resistance and impen.

Stam sorc survivability in PVE is pretty amazing to be honest. Crits with crit Rush and wrecking blow heal you to full health meaning you don't have to spend time casting a healing ability whilst soloing and make the most powerful werewolves whilst surge is up. That's the only good thing about Stam sorcs other than being nightblade like in regards to stat pools.

In terms of dps and utilities dks are much much more powerful... The dots just melt everything and are much more preferred in PvP and PVE.

I love when people say that DKs "Have more tankiness" when that is completely false. We have one passive that improve spell damage mitigation and that's it. We get a 10% increase to block but that does nothing, and DoTs are completely useless in PvP.
I play both PC and Console and DoTs as a Stamina class in PvP and pretty much PvE are useless. There's nothing even useful with DoTs when it comes to PvP as we have to CP trees that take damage away from it on top of the fact that battle spirit, shields, purges, cloaks, etc play a major blow when it comes to DoT damage.

The only thing that makes a stam DK "Awesome" is it's two Earthen heart passives which is Mountain's blessing and battle roar. Mountain gives ultimate back + 5% weapon DMG when using earthen heart abilities while the other battle roar gives resources back with the use of ultimates.
The only note worthy skillsthat DKs definitely use for PvP is Take flight, Corrosive Armor, and dragonfire scales; other than that you better get your skills from other weapon trees.

I might, I'm going to tweak it a bit. I'm replacing molten armaments with its other morph for the 20% weapon dmg, cavalry caltrops with razor, and I'll use val skoria. I also have the jewlery for briarheart which I'll combine the 5 piece of that set with hundings. I have gotten my crit up to almost 80%, so I should be able to have briar up constantly. I may change it up, but I'll giv eit a shot.
