First of all, thank you for this Thieves' Guild DLC. I love how everyone that finishes the story can wander as they please at VR01. Not only do they rely on you to help them kill enemies, they sit there and wait for it to happen, cutting your XP per kill.

Secondly, I love how you can buy crownstore xp scrolls that give a bonus xp, which gets nullied by 2 or more in a group. I get that. What I do not get is why I get penalised for some random idiot leeching your damage to get kills. It's sad.

I know I could quest. The problem is I think the quest system is utterly disgusting in the manner that I have to play through Cadwell's Silver and Gold content to level up. If I wanted to play the Aldmeri story, I would have made an AD character. Same goes for DC and EP. I realise that it was created just to pad the lack of overall content. I really do understand that. In this game, you have 3 grind zones or so that have become popular because they are the only way you can reach a certain level without having to do the story missions (Do not get me wrong, I enjoyed them, but once/ twice is enough).

Having said THAT, you people seem to "nerf" these locations to high heaven, which is kind of stupid because now everyone and their mother's mothers are going to the last few spots. Why not just remove them all completely? It's kind of sad to see low level characters invading higher level zones just because they can. Also, the amount of bots in this game is grotesque.

Why have bonuses for xp if I can't properly utilise it? The idea of the potion is to put a maximum effort into getting each drop of it as beneficial.

If you want to grind, get yourself some XP pots or scrolls and go Maelstrom arena. It's single player so there are no leeches that can take your XP. Easy peasy. Problem solved.

Sometimes people with low level charater in zones like hte rift are us rpers, or those going for vampirism/lycanthropy.
Thats like complaing about high level charaters in low level zones.
As for bots, they won't spam in zone chat which is a blessing they use to, then they made it so unprofitable for them so they left the game. This is why we have a delete limit!
I would have to say Eso has done well with getting rid of the bots. They put in a real fix to the bot spam which other mmos possibly have not done yet or refuse to do.

ZoS approach to leveling by having everyone to grind for xp and champion points in order to be competitive is wrong.
They need to change that ASAP.
Removing veteran ranks is not the solution at all because people will still need to grind in order to get more champion points in a good time frame.

I have recently leveled one of my alts by grinding.
I didn't encounter the problems you have mentioned since I went to the grinding spots at 23:00 to 03:00 GMT(PC EU server).
In those hours, there was no living soul there, only zombies :p

Can someone tell me the name of a GOOD mmo that requires no grinding? :/
I think that eso is the only (or one of the very few) mmo that rewards you a lot with quests, whereas others just have them for loot or minimum reward.
So yep, you need to grind in order to reach endgame performance.
You can also complete 90% of game content without grinding so if you want to just have fun you don't have to

The quests are so boring and repetitive it might as well be grinding

I ultimately feel as though they are self-destructing their own game. Just think about this. In order to get a lot of champion points, you need to grind experience points. At first, you can do quests and what-not to get that done, but the amount of experience points required for one champion point ultimately means you will exhaust your quests before you obtain the 167 points (cap).

Therefore, you need to grind, using psijic potions OR their favourite, experience scrolls. After all of that, they nerf each grind spot so your potion that you buy with crowns is an utter waste.

Now, after all of that, think about this. Zenimax deleted Axe of Berzha and changed one of their 30-day campaigns to NO CP. Why would they remove a pvp server, then add a non CP server when they are ultimately trying to get you to earn CP beyond level 50, their new leveling system in place for when the Dark Brotherhood comes out.

Does Zenimax think we are stupid as ***? Most of us aren't and none of these decisions make sense.

Inevitable "solution is to throw money into the crown store" post. Hurrah!

I bought the game years ago but only just recently bothered to finish the main quest and have moved into silver.

I enjoyed quests the first time around. Well written etc. Way too easy - especially if you've inevitably outlevelled them because you're doing all quests on the map. But still enjoyable. They're not boring in their own right. But once you've done them.... second time around is just a lot of dialogue skipping and running to quest map markers to click or kill something.

And third, fourth, fifth etc. etc. Ugh.
