Thieve's Guild skill's not so useful in being a successful thief...a bit disappointing really

I am curious to know what others players would have liked to have seen the TG skills provide to be useful or even just add some fun skills to the game.

Having completed the quests and reached max level 12 in Thieve's Guild and Master Thief (at least I have a rain of coins on my head now), I felt somewhat disappointed that the skills/passives were not really very useful in being a thief when compared to the Legerdemain skill/passives.

Let's face it what do you need to be a successful thief?
Good at sneaking
Good at pickpocketing
Good at chest opening

These are all from the Legerdemain passives.

Fortunately I had this all leveled up and so did not waste a single skill point in TG skills/passives.

    Clemency, Finders Keepers, Timely Escape, and Veil of Shadows are all nice to have. None of them are strictly necessary, but they do make life a little easier at times.

    It does seem that most are directed at what happens when you're not a very good thief.

    Finders Keepers and Veil of Darkness are good to go, but the other two need some work.

    In the case of Timely Escape, the first time I saw the torch wielding dude I though to myself "what the hell is that npc doing", this was after I had already been caught multiple times. Upping his chance of showing up would be nice IMO.

    I also think the timer on Clemency should be shorter. 12 hours or less might be worth the skill point, as it sits now I cannot see wasting the point.

    Most of it seems to be focused on having a support network backing you up, as a thief. Rather than your actual skill at stealing stuff.
