I think the idea was to design eso more oriented to pvp than pve but incredible and against all forecasts is an incredible fun pve game.

Even if quests are incredible irritating long and without end they are a lot better than any other game.

Also dungeons are very fun to do in group with people.

I buyed this game to do pvp and i realize 90% of the time i do pve.

Should eso focus more in pvp or continue like this?

I'd say continue with PvE, and give PvPers some small scale arenas etc, just no open world PvP, it's just so easy to have it be exploited. And also in a perfect world, separate PvP and PvE skills so that they can balance that easier for PvP and PvE and not just make one skill OP in one part and useless in the other.

Um, did you not read Matt Firor's interview in which he talked about how ESO was not designed as a traditional MMO? "Our bigger challenge has been to educate players that we are not a traditional 2004-style MMO and much more an expansive online Elder Scrolls RPG."

That would go against everything ESO stands for. Seamless transition between PvE and PvP without having different abilities or PvPstats is one of the seeling points compared to other mmo`s.

yes it is more pve.. thats because think they earn much money from pve than pvp part...As a result ZOS is a bussines company...
    Plays:
    Magicka SORC - PvE/PvP
    Stamina NB - PvE/PvP
    Magicka NB - PvE/PvP
    Magicka Templar - PvE
    Stamina Templar - PvP
    Magicka DK - PvE
    Stamina DK - PvE

So I guess to address your question OP... as noted in Matt's interview, they KNOW exactly what every player is doing in the game and have game data showing which is the most popular content and clearly that is PvE. They would also know what percentage of players, PvE/PvP, are spending money on the game via Crown Store purchases, etc... so being a for-profit company, they would want to keep content supplied to those who spend the most money in the game.

Also as noted in his interview, "We don’t know exactly how many ESO players previously played other Elder Scrolls games, but we assume it is the great majority." I've said all along that the majority of ESO players are former ES single-player gamers who prefer to play the game solo but also like to be able to group when they want... and it sounds to me like that is true as he mentioned SOLOABLE content several times in his interview.

Yet they keep messing it up, PvPers complain about something being OP while it's completely useless in PvE. There's just no way to balance that without separating the play modes.

    This covers things.

My other mmo has a ton of pve content, along side their version of the alliance war, as well as small scale pvp. The small scale pvp is not related to the 'alliance war' type play either. Totally separate entity.

It is what it is. I like the PvE focus. I like PvP for a change of pace now and then, though I mostly do it to unlock skills.
