Ok, so here is an idea that I believe has been brought up or brushed over a few times. I wanted to think about and expand the concept as well as think about how it would work.
This would completely change how Guild Claimed keeps upgraded and progressed in order to make them stronger as well as making them more personal to the Guild that Owns it.
First of all I would like to explain how it would change the way each of the Resources would work. At the moment all it is, is overtime everything gets stronger as long as you own that resource around the keep until everything is level 5. With this system, the way resources work would change. Instead, each of the resources around the keep would slowly produce that Specific type of resource which would be able to be used in conjunction with AP to upgrade the different sections of the keep.
For example each of the resources would produce 1 of their yield (Masonry, Woodwork, Supplies) every 20 Minutes or so and these would slowly build up in keep Storage. If one of these resources was taken by the enemy then 50% of the stored supplies would be destroyed. In addition when you first Capture a resource it would instantly yield 2 of their specific resource.
After securing your resources and have received enough of a resource, any member of your Guild that has been Given the Permissions would be able to select a new option when talking to the Quarter-Master called 'Keep Customization'. This would present a large number of upgrades available for your keep in order to make it better and make it your own. These would cost a small sum of AP as well as some Resource. Here are some Examples:
Guild Banners: Places your own Guild banners around the keep that show your Guild Crest and Colours. Showing the Keep belongs to your Guild and providing a 5% Combat bonus to any Guild members in or within 20 Metres of the Keep.
- Cost: 5000 AP 1 Woodwork -
Outer Wall Reinforcement Tiers 1 - 5: Reinforce the strength of your Outer Walls, increasing their HP. Each upgrade further increases HP of Outer Walls.
- Cost: 3000 AP 1 Masonry -
Keep Sentry's: Tiers 1 - 3: Place a few Guild Sentries around the Outskirts of the Keep that alert Guild Chat when a group of 15 or More Enemy Players are seen. Each upgrade would make the Guild Sentries stronger and camp in slightly lager groups. 1 - 3 so they will be able to fight off enemy players.
- Cost 8000 AP 4 Supplies -
Keep Patrols Tiers 1 - 5: Spawn Guard patrols around the Keep that patrol around and attack enemies within aggro range. Each upgrade slightly increases number of Guards in Patrol and makes them tougher as well as increasing their aggro and de-aggro range.
- Cost: 6000 AP 2 Supplies
Tower Siege Equipment: Spawn a random type of Trebuchet on each Corner Tower of the outer walls. These will be used to an NPC Guard however they can be taken over by players when interacted with.
- Cost: 10000 AP 4 Woodwork -
There are a bunch more that I have thought of involving a bunch of different things but I'm sure no one wants to just endlessly read my ideas for upgrades and such so I just gave you a taste of all the upgrades and customization options you would be able to buy. Tell me what you think!
In addition each individual Resource around the Keep would be able to be upgraded at their Vendor in the Resource sight. This would cost a small amount of Alliance Points to do a few things: Increase the Total Storage of that Yield; Decrease the Time required to produce 1 Yield, Increase the number of Guards defending a Resource.
