Since we aren't allowed to have forums to discuss trading most of us have only a few options to find specific items.

We can hope a guild member is online that happens to be able to make exactly what you're looking for.

You can email that crafter friend you have and hope she/he logs on again before you out level you're request.

Shouting in a busy city in area chat and hope for the best.

Travel through dozens of zones hoping a guild trader has what you're looking for.

None of these options are anywhere near as affective as a trade forum post would be. However, since this is forbidden per crafting forum rules what would be an alternative?

I'd like to propose that that, in a future update, that they add a feature to the existing guild trader's.

A Craig's List like option that wood allow you to select an item from a dropdown list, or search feature. You select the item and price you'd like to pay then wait up to 30 days for someone to see it and fill your order.

The feature could require the requester to have the funds draft from the account upon posting the request, or have the option to claim (pay for) the item when/if the order is completed.

I believe the requester should be able to select their own deadline before expiration up you 30 days.
