Why is it the only upgrade with a 20 hour cooldown not to mention you have to do it 180 times to get it fully upgraded. You could say they need to get their money somehow but wouldn't making it more expensive per upgrade achieve the same thing?

It's a *** system that pretty much forces your hand to the crown store if you can't stomach logging on 150 days in a row for all your toons, just to 'feed' a freaking horse.

I was so happy when I finally had a fully upgraded mount after 180+ days .... yet I find myself running/sprinting around for 90% of the time (if not more) because whenever I see something that fits into my pockets, I just got to get it. To unmount/remount all the time just seems to interupt my "gameflow" B)
I like eating sweetrolls and crushing skulls, and I am all out of sweetrolls.

I have 6 toons with fully upgraded horses. Did three toons before riding skills, where I fed 3 horses each. That was faster.

I want the ability to pre-load those sessions with the stablemaster.

Perhaps increase the amount of time added to the clock the more sessions get pre-loaded. Such as, I walk into the stable and buy a session for 250 gold, which starts a 20 hour clock ticking. Then, I add a session that will begin counting down immediately when this current 20 hour clock expires - but this added session is 21 hours long. Then, I add a third session to the lineup that is 22 hours long. Make the queue able to hold 5 sessions.

So if you walk into a stable and spend 1250 gold for 5 sessions, you will have loaded 20+21+22+23+24=110 hours of mount upgrade.

This doesn't wreck the zos attempt to push people into regular play, because logging on a character just to hit the stables doesn't help anyone in any substantive manner, but it will clear away the need for people to spend daily time logging on alts just to hit a stablemaster AND clear away the irritation when normal life precludes the chance to log on even just for a visit to the horse barn.

Example: In a few minutes I'm going to log on my only alt, to hit the stablemaster for a session. It should be ready for another pop at around 5:40pm tomorrow but whether I have a chance to swing through is up in the air, meaning I might not be able to hit the stable master again until more than 24 hours from this moment. Wasting 5 hours, wasting 25% of the time of a horse upgrade clock.

So, I want the ability to pre-load sessions with the stablemaster. For the convenience of knowing errands or family events or other elements of a normal life aren't going to derail the continued upgrading of a mount I feel a fair price is that they time is increased, as I described.

maybe a bit off topic but this kinda same as the last upgrade of any crafting hireling , you can have a delivery twice a day but gotta be 12 hours between.. good luck with real life then ;)

But if you wish, you can go out less than an hour after getting a hireling mail and get more materials from the landscape. Or go to the bank and search your five guild stores and get more mats there long before the next hireling mail. Or hop from town to town searching the random guild store merchants.

Cannot do that with horse training sessions, unless you are willing to shell out real money... Real money that you earned from your real-world time at a real-world job.

The MMO is already a time sink why would you want it to be even more? In my case I got other games I could be playing almost 1 tb worth on my PlayStation 4 alone.

I'll create a new character about 3 months before I expect to play them so I can max out the mount capabilities. I just transfer some gold to them from my bank and then park them at the stables. Log the character in, train, log out.

Well when there was the crown store discount recently I bought 17000 crowns and got my camel to 60 speed and 20 stamina. Worth it.

You guys realize the same mount training system was in place long before the crown store even existed right? Has nothing to do with that. I assume it was designed this way to encourage people to log in every day.

Yes, they allow you to cheat with crowns. But the whole point of lessons is learning small parts of something so that over time you're better at it.

No phoning it in. No shortcuts. If you want the progress, you show up.

Yes, I hated it in beta, and I continue to hate it to this day.

Worst horse training system I have ever had the pleasure of using in any game. What's your point?

I still think something should be changed like the way the timer works. Like the Que system someone suggested.

Back in MY day, we had to feed the horses individually, with a different trait for each horse!

The original training was PER HORSE. You didn't just get training on one and it work across your stable, nope. Once the first horse was completed it was time to swap mounts and start that one.

I honestly just wish it was across the account. It's not a huge deal, but dammit it's annoying.

It takes 6 months to max 1 horse. Its dumb.

When you had to feed them, you could do 3 horses at once. When they changed to training, those 3 were combined into one so people did have a max horse with 60 days instead of 180.

I want to be able to do 1 of each training every day if I choose so I can have a max horse in less time than it would take for me to max the character at least 3 times.

Be happy that you do not have to actually ride the horse for 20 hours to upgrade it - Archeage does it that way, mount levels are just achieved by actually using this individual mount - for each mount separated - ESO's method is gold compared to it.

Which is why there are three people active in Archeage these days. Nobody has time for BS systems.
